Around the Granite State: Bedford, Windham field hockey each pick up a win (video)

BEDFORD – Ella Putney scored twice in the first quarter and the Bedford High School field hockey team grabbed a 3-1 win against Dover on Wednesday.

Teagan O’Donnell also had a goal for the Bulldogs (7-1, No. 1 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) while Eloise Montagano, Clare McGuinness and Mary Lenti each had an assist. Irene Tsai recorded two saves for Bedford.

Dover (6-4, No. 8) got its goal from Hannah Deroy off a penalty corner in the fourth quarter. Scarlett Gray made 15 saves for the Green Wave.

Windham 3, Bishop Guertin 1

Jaidyn Seitzer scored twice to lead the Jaguars to a victory over the Cardinals.

Seitzer scored on a penalty stroke in the second quarter and then added an insurance goal with 6:17 to play. Rowan Bomba netted what proved to be the game-winner with 11:40 remaining for Windham (3-6).

Dana McAleer finished with four saves while Ali Pallaria, Abbie Petrini, Ella Gallinelli and Kendall Salvador played well in the win.

Addison Daddona had the goal for Bishop Guertin (6-3), which tied the game 1-1 with 8:22 left in the third quarter. Ayla Saeturn had three saves for the Cardinals.

No. 3 Keene 6, No. 9 Salem 1

Natalia Gillis had two goals and two assists to lead the Blackbirds to the win over the Blue Devils.

McKenna Nelson also had two goals and recorded an assist while Olive Thatcher scored twice and Emily Antosiewicz had an assist for Keene (7-1-1). Camille Hanson, Lilly Vitters and Liz Hutchins also played well.

Salem (5-3) got its lone goal from Avery Aliberti in the fourth quarter.

No. 2 Londonderry 6, Nashua North 0

Alison Chambers had two goals and an assist for the Lancers in a win over the Titans.

Morgan Ayotte also scored twice for Londonderry (8-0) while Eres Delorey had a goal and an assist and Emma Karvielis had two assists. Ashleigh Minahan added a goal and Avery Callahan added an assist while Abbigail Cook made four saves.

North (0-9) got 28 saves from Anya Seo.

Merrimack 2, Nashua South 0

Allie Wyand had a goal and an assist for the Tomahawks as they knocked off the Panthers.

Jocelyn Theriault also had a goal for Merrimack (3-6-1), which held a one-goal lead until late.

Meury Navarette had 21 saves for South (2-8) while Emme Christian, Maggie Schmidt, Wylie Hart, Sofia Forti and Keegan Dolan played well.
