Football Roundup: Winnacunnet, Bishop Guertin stay unbeaten (videos)

EXETER – Thomas Lyons scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns and the Winnacunnet High School football team grabbed a 31-21 win Saturday against Exeter.

Lyons had 33 yards rushing on six carries, all in the final 10 minutes of the game, while Sean Griffin had a 2-yard touchdown run and was 6 of 9 passing for 136 yards and a 51-yard touchdown pass to Jaxon McDonald (four catches, 95 yards).

Dom Mancini had 81 yards rushing and Harvey Reynoso added 63 yards on the ground for the Warriors (4-0, No. 9 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Sullivan Duffy also kicked a 41-yard field goal.

Exeter (3-1, No. 5) got two touchdown passes from Tyler Ream, who went 8 of 12 passing for 109 yards and had 89 yards rushing. The junior connected with Brendon Jelinek on a 21-yard scoring pass and with Cole Kelley for a 27-yard score.

Max Corzatt added a 17-yard touchdown run and had 71 yards on the ground before leaving in the third quarter with an injury. Raymond Plante added 67 yards rushing.

No. 3 Bishop Guertin 42, No. 6 Salem 28

The Cardinals dominated time of possession in the second half, rallying for three touchdowns to get the win over the Blue Devils.

Nate Bowen was 17 of 22 for 215 yards with two touchdown passes and also ran for 53 yards and another score while Rocco Roy caught eight passes for 143, including a 29-yard touchdown. Hudson Schmitt also caught a 9-yard scoring passes and ran for 53 yards.

Will Adams ran for 47 yards and two scores for the Cardinals (3-0 in D1, 4-0 overall) and Logan Curran added 110 yards and a score on the ground.

Colin Salkovitz had 190 yards rushing and two touchdowns to lead Salem (2-2) while Van Mason and Jacob Beaudry each had a rushing touchdown. Mason was also 3 of 4 passing for 88 yards with an interception.

Windham 17, Keene 0

Mike Brearly ran for 230 yards and a touchdown to lead the Jaguars to a shutout win over the Blackbirds on Windham’s annual Project Blackout game.

Adrian Bergman added 25 yards and a touchdown rushing and also completed his only pass attempt for 4 yards, while Brearly had a 19-yard reception. Parker Francis had eight tackles and one sack and Brooke Batson had six tackles and two sacks while Noah Phillipe had an interception the Jaguars (2-1, 2-2).

Windham outgained Keene (1-3) 297-34, with Colin Tinnin rushing for 17 yards while catching two passes for 40 yards.

No. 7 Manchester Memorial 40, Timberlane 12

Alex Sutherland ran for a touchdown and threw for another to lead the Crusaders to a win over the Owls.

The senior quarterback connected with Joel Gomez for a 48-yard score and had a 10-yard touchdown run as well for the Crusaders (3-0, 4-0. Jacob Schuff scored on a 39-yard run, Jaythen Torres had an 18-yard touchdown rush and Ledum Adumene scored on a 39-yard pick-6.

Memorial’s defense intercepted Timberlane (1-3) three times, all in the second quarter.

Matthew Fitzgerald was 13 of 23 for 127 yards for the Owls, as he connected with Dylan Kudyam on a 7-yard touchdown. Adrian Carrasquillo also had a 16-yard touchdown run and a team-high 30 yards on the ground while Michael Santosuosso caught five passes for 63 yards.

No. 4 Nashua South 48, Nashua North 34

Cody Jackson threw six touchdown passes, five to Josh Tripp, as the Panthers held off the Titans to win the Battle of the Bridge.

Jackson was 16 of 23 for 457 yards and also had 72 yards rushing and a touchdown while Tripp caught 10 passes for 302 yards. Colton Levesque had two receptions for 96 yards and a touchdown and Bruno Goncalves added 71 yards rushing.

South (2-1, 3-1) led 27-0 in the second quarter, but North (2-2) cut the lead to 14 points going into the fourth.

No. 1 Pinkerton 24, No. 10 Londonderry 10

The Astros scored two touchdowns in the third quarter to pull away from the Lancers for the win.

Joseph Osanya had an 11-yard touchdown run and AJ Scholz recovered a fumble and brought it back 38 yards for a score as Pinkerton (4-0) broke open a close game in the second half. Jordan Ball, who forced the fumble that led to the touchdown by Scholz, added a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and John Pappas kicked a 37-yard field goal to give the Astros a 3-0 lead in the first quarter.

Adrian Cruz scored on a 3-yard run for the lone touchdown for Londonderry (1-3) and Owen Monahan kicked a 33-yard field to tie the game 3-3 early in the second quarter.

Division II

No. 8 Souhegan 33, Manchester West 0

Michael Fiengo ran for two touchdowns and Ryland Raudelunas also scored twice to give the Sabers a win in a matchup of undefeated teams.

Fiengo had scoring runs of 1 and 3 yards and was 11 of 13 passing for 189 yards, including an 88-yard touchdown connection with Raudelunas, who ran for 118 yards and another score for Souhegan (4-0).

Brody Smith returned from injury and ran for 52 yards and a touchdown and caught six passes for 77 yards. Smith also had an interception on defense.

Gio Doria was 13 of 24 passing for 123 yards and two interceptions for West (3-1) and Liam King had six catches for 98 yards. Kingston Green added 35 yards on the ground.

Tyler Hale had a team-high seven tackles and Joel Camilo had five tackles and recovered a fumble for the Blue Knights.

Plymouth 27, Kingswood 12

Cavan Sanborn threw for a touchdown and ran for another to lead the Bobcats to a win over the Knights.

Sanborn connected with Bryson Stone on a 16-yard touchdown and the junior quarterback ran in from 4 yards out for another score. Ben Valenti added a touchdown run of 13 yards in the first quarter and Logan Marsh had a 14-yard scoring run in the fourth for Plymouth (4-0).

Serafin Agramonte had a 1-yard touchdown run and Dean Porter scored on a 51-yard run, both in the third quarter, for Kingswood (2-2).

Division III

Epping-Newmarket 22, Fall Mountain 0

Landon Ebelt rushed for 40 yards and the Wildcats held the Blue Devils scoreless in the second half, but it wasn’t enough.

Max Wyman was 3 of 8 passing for 19 yards and Paul Young had 23 yards of offense for Fall Mountain (1-3).

Division IV

Farmington-Nute 32, Newfound 22

The Tigers picked up a road win over the Bears to start 2-0 for the first time in program history.

Farmington-Nute ran for 227 yards as a team, with Ryder McGrail scoring on a 3-yard run while throwing touchdown passes of 45 and 25 yards to Brody Leeman and Jazar Sprague, respectively.

Ethan Burrows ran for 107 yards on 10 carries while Scotty Milliken had 72 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.
