Around the Granite State: Thursday’s roundup (video)
AMHERST – The Souhegan High School girls lacrosse team got a big game from a pair of sophomores as the Sabers topped Pinkerton Academy 14-7 in Division I action Thursday.
Sammi Jay had four goals and an assist and Brigid Casey chipped in with three goals and an assist to help Souhegan improve to 4-0 in the division.
Emma Estabrook and Abby Cranney also had two goals apiece, while Taylor Clark, Hailey Johnson and Kate Bermingham had a goal and an assist each. Gwen Hale added an assist and Meaghan Allard made seven saves.
Pinkerton (2-2) got three goals from Dani Tompkins and two more from Ali Davis. Nola Wesche added a goal and an assist while Ariel Vallencourt also scored and Kyra Goucher had five saves.
