NASHUA – Rain postponed almost all of Monday’s action to Tuesday in the New Hampshire American Legion baseball tournament at Holman Stadium.

Nashua Coffey Post 3 and Rochester Post 7 made it through an inning and a half, playing through steady rain, before play was stopped.

Coffey Post went up 2-0, scoring a run in the top of the first and second, but when Nashua pitcher Christian Ferlan had to ask for a new ball after one pitch in the bottom of the second, the umpires decided to pull everyone off the field. American Legion officials then decided to postpone all action to Tuesday rather than wait out the downpour.

When play resumes at 4 p.m., Nashua will hold a 2-0 lead and Rochester’s Luke Roberts will have a count of 1-0 to lead off the bottom of the second. Dover Post 8 and Bedford Post 54 will follow the completion of the first game.
