NASHUA – The Nashua High School South boys lacrosse team was able to hold off a fourth-quarter rally by Nashua North for a 16-12 win Friday night at Stellos Stadium.

Collin Morrow led the Panthers (5-5) with seven goals and four assists and Shane Puleo added two goals and five assists. Dylan Gamache (assist), Zach Clancy (assist) and Devin Linscott also had two goals each while Nate Radin made 15 saves.

North (4-5) got seven goals and five assists from Todd Redman while goalies Hanzla Sheikh (11) and James Petz (10) combined to make 21 saves. Brendan Martin (assist), Troy Bottari and Joey Paige also had two goals each.

Girls Lacrosse: Nashua North 11, Nashua South 7

The Titans overcame a slow start and held the Panthers scoreless in the second half to snap a four-game losing streak.

Danielle Upton finished with four goals and an assist while Gabrielle Masseur, Kaylee Hubbard and Delia Blondeau had two goals apiece to lead North (5-6). Julia Gagnon added a goal and Hannah Fortin had five assists while goalie Zoe Fillebrown made eight saves.

Jocelyn Chaput had three goals to lead the Panthers (1-8) and Allison Magrane had two while Alyssa Freeman (assist) and Ashley Eppolito had one apiece. Kat Tenney made eight saves in the first half for South and Abigail Rowe stopped nine shots in the second half.

Boys Tennis: Bedford 9, Bishop Guertin 0

The Bulldogs went to 10-0 on the season with the sweep of the Cardinals.

Rohit Yerram (No. 2) and Andrew Allen (No. 4) each won their singles matches and then teamed up to win the No. 1 doubles match for Bedford. Other singles winners included Zach Gould (No. 1), Ian Horne (No. 3), Mike Soucy (No. 5) and Tim Weeks (No. 6).

Derrick Salvatore and Jason Boucher won the No. 2 doubles match while Zachary Suozzo and Ajay Kancherlapalli won at No. 3 doubles.

Boys Tennis: Souhegan 8, Pembroke 1

The Sabers won five of six singles matches to beat the Spartans and move to 3-2 on the season.

Matt Lapsley won the No. 1 singles match and then teamed with Alex Frazier to get a victory at No. 1 doubles. Frazier got the win at No. 3 singles after Pembroke’s Lukas Bartlett was forced to retire after one game.

Nathaniel Kershlis (No. 2) and Kyle Gibson (No. 4) won their singles matches and then won the No. 2 doubles match. Dale Estes was a winner at No. 6 singles while Kevin Fredette and Jacob Lacaillade won at No. 3 doubles.

Pembroke’s lone win came from Mazin Sayed at No. 5 singles.

Girls Tennis: Bedford 8, Pinkerton 1

The Bulldogs got singles wins from Abby Ramsay (No. 2), Grace Goyette (No. 3), Maylene LaPress (No. 4), Caroline Herz (No. 5) and Erin Stearns (No. 6) to beat the Astros.

Ramsay and Anli Zhang won the No. 1 singles match while Goyette and LaPress won at No. 2 and Stearns and Emily Thompson won at No. 3.

Sam Barros won the No. 1 singles match for Pinkerton’s lone win.

Softball: Hollis Brookline 8, Oyster River 7

The Cavaliers trailed by three runs in the seventh inning before rallying for the walk-off win over the Bobcats.

Down 7-4, Stephanie Buchanan hit a two-run home run in the last frame to get things started, scoring Skylar Mack, and Cassidy Pigott singled and scored on a triple by Delayni Kovalchek to tie the game.

Natalie Paquin followed with a single to score Kovalchek for the win. Mack, Buchanan, Paquin and Pigott were each 2 for 4 in the game and Avery Webb was 1 for 2.
