Around the Granite State: Friday’s Roundup

The Pelham High School boys lacrosse team improved to 4-0 on the season with an 11-6 win Friday over Coe-Brown.

Jacoby Pratt led the way for the Pythons with three goals while Charlie Katin added two goals and won 18 of 19 faceoffs. Connor Halloran also scored two goals while Shawn McAdam, Ian Morgenstern, Devon Russell and Liam Haskins all had a goal apiece.

Joe Katin made 12 saves for Pelham, which plays at Plymouth (3-1) on Monday.

St. Thomas 10, Kennett 1

Patrick Vetter scored three goals and two assists to lead the Saints past Kennett in Division II action.

Aidan Crisp added three goals of his own and Jojo Grella had two goals and two assists. Andrew Geppert scored two goals and Brendan Tersolo and Tucker Whitcomb each added an assist.

Nick Johnson won 12 of 15 faceoffs for St. Thomas (3-2).

Bishop Guertin 19, Nashua South 6

The Panthers fell to 1-6 on the season with Friday’s loss to the Cardinals, despite getting two goals and an assist from Zac Clancy.

Sean Holland and Shane Puleo added a goal and two assists apiece while Brett Shaughnessy and Devin Linscott each scored a goal.

Nate Radin made seven saves for South, which plays at Manchester Central on Monday.

Softball

Bedford 3, Winnacunnet 0

Katie Martin pitched a one-hitter to help the Bulldogs improve to 7-0 in Division I this season.

Audrey Pederson led the offense with three hits, two runs and an RBI. Erin Murphy added a single and scored and Makaela Kinney went 2 for 3.

Baseball

Souhegan 12, Pelham 1

The Sabers scored four runs in the first inning and never looked back in a win over the Pythons.

Owen Batchelder had two hits and two RBIs, including a run-scoring double in the first while Max Benevides added a two-run double, also in the first. Bryce Reagan also had two hits, scoring a run and driving in another, and Caelan Behn had two hits and an RBI.

Alec Burns hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning for the Sabers and Tucker Aiello also drove in a run and picked up the win on the mound, striking out six in four innings.
