Around the Granite State: Monday’s Roundup
The Plymouth High School boys lacrosse rallied in the second half and held off Laconia for a 9-7 victory in a Division III game.
Down 4-3 at halftime, the Bobcats outscored the Sachems 4-1 in the third quarter to take control of the game and snap Laconia’s 20-game winning streak.
Tyler Morrison and Marcus Morel each had three goals to lead Plymouth (1-0) while Ethan Rivers had two goals. Connor Magown had a goal and two assists while Nolan Farina had two assists. Chris Patnaude made 19 saves.
Laconia (2-1) got four goals from Jack Steele and two goals from Cole Reid. Riley Roy added a goal and Steve Towers made 13 saves.
Bedford 11, Nashua South 5
The Bulldogs jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the first quarter and cruised to improve to 3-0 in Division I.
Kyle Fink and Stewart Kirkpatrick each had three goals and two assists while Jack Cusack also had three goals and a helper.
Brandon Howe and Devin LaFrance chipped in with a goal and an assist apiece and Sean Tierney made 15 saves.

Boys Volleyball
Hollis Brookline 3, John Stark 0
The Cavaliers (2-1) picked up their second win of the season by sweeping the Generals (1-2). Game scores were 25-17, 25-21 and 25-17.
Nick Wood recorded 12 kills for HB and Nathan Cole had five aces. Jonathan Brackett had 26 digs and Scott Van Coughnett added 28 assists.
Baseball
Bedford 5, Manchester Memorial 1
A five-run bottom of the fourth inning helped the Bulldogs overcome a one-run deficit and pull out their third win of the year.
Joey Barrett and Grant Lavigne each had two-run hits to lead the Bedford offense. Geoff Mosseau got the win, pitching 5 1/3 innings, striking out six and allowing four hits. Nick Gelinas pitched well in relief.
Souhegan 7, Hollis Brookline 6
Alec Burns hit a walkoff home run to give the Sabers the win over the Cavaliers in Division II action.
Burns finished with three hits and drove in two runs, while Max Leonard picked up the win by pitching three innings of relief, striking out six.

Bedford 13, Manchester Memorial 1
The Bulldogs picked up their third win of the year behind a strong outing from pitcher Katie Martin.
Martin struck out 11 and allowed one hit while Jacquelyn Harrington led the offense with two doubles and a two-run home run. Erin Murphy added a single and three-run homer.
Audrey Pederson added a double and two RBIs and Morgan Fraitzl also had a double and drove in a run.
