Around the Granite State: Souhegan girls lacrosse cruises past Exeter
Here’s a look at what went on Friday in New Hampshire high school sports.
AMHERST – Hailey Johnson and Kate Bermingham provided the offense and the Souhegan High School girls lacrosse team got a bit of revenge in an 18-4 win over Exeter on Friday.
Johnson had six goals and three assists for the Sabers (1-0) and Bermingham added five goals and four helpers as Souhegan avenged a loss to the Blue Hawks (0-2) in last year’s Division I semifinals.
Emma Estabrook also had four goals and an assist for Souhegan and helped the Sabers win 18 of 24 draws. Sammi Jay added two goals in the win.
Exeter got three goals from Jennifer Rogers and Ana Toomey also scored.
