Around the Granite State: Tuesday’s Roundup
NASHUA – Danielle Upton scored 10 goals and had two assists to help lead the Nashua High School North girls lacrosse team past Keene 23-15 on Tuesday in Division I action.
Upton’s sixth goal of the game was the hundredth of the junior’s high school career, and after the Blackbirds had cut a 10-goal deficit down to five, she scored three unanswered to put the game away for the Titans (2-2).
Campbell Haller added five goals and Kaylee Hubbard chipped in with four for North. Delia Blondeau also had two goals and two assists while Jordyn McKeney and Hannah Fortin (assist) had a goal each. Zoe Fillebrown made six saves.
Keene (1-1) got nine goals from Callie O’Neil while Mackenzie Corrigan added three goals and Katie Camerford had two. Caroline Power also scored while Rebecca Koziara made 11 saves.
Souhegan 17, Nashua South 0
The Sabers blanked the Panthers, getting five goals and an assist from Brigid Casey and two goals and two assists each from Sammi Jay and Taylor Clark.
Abby Cranney also had three goals for Souhegan (3-0) and Emma Estabrook added two. Savannah Behn, Izzy Aiello and Hannah Rowe chipped in with a goal apiece.
Meaghan Allard made three saves for the Sabers while Abbey Rowe stopped five shots for South (0-3).

Boys Lacrosse
John Stark 18, Manchester West 2
Parker McQuarrie led the Generals with four goals and an assist as they cruised past the Blue Knights in Division II action.
Drew McQuarrie added two goals and an assist while Aiden Moser, Kayden Easter, Matt Bennetter and Lawson Murphy had two goals apiece.
“It’s good to get the W,” John Stark coach Howard Roever said. “We’ve got a big game and our home opener versus a tough Windham team on Friday. Time to get ready for that.”
Milford 9, Gilford 3
Gavin Urda scored five goals and added an assist to lead the Spartans to the win over the Golden Eagles in a Division III game.
Cam O’Shaughnessy scored three goals for Milford (2-1) while Maverick Dodier also scored and Matt Hannon had an assist.
Tim Gagnon made 11 saves while Josh Shaw had a team-high eight groundballs and forced four turnovers.
Hollis Brookline 9, Windham 5
Nick Hinchcliffe scored three goals and had three assists to lead the Cavaliers past the Jaguars in Division II action.
Will Crosby chipped in with two goals and an assist for HB (2-0) while Garrett Moloney made 13 saves.
Goffstown 15, Alvirne 7
The Grizzlies got out to an early lead and rolled past the Broncos for their first win of the Division II season.
Devin Young led Goffstown (1-1) with five goals and two assists while Peyton Bickford and Nick Mason each had three goals and an assist. Bickford also won 12 of 14 faceoffs.
Ben O’Brien also had two goals for Goffstown while Konnough Donovan (assist) and Alex McCarthy had a goal apiece. Eric Dubois added two assists and Finn Grant made 14 saves.
Joseph Ricco led Alvirne (0-2) with three goals and Mason Miller added a goal and an assist. Tyler Mahaney and Anthony Derose each had a goal and John Porter had two assists. Peter Patistas made 20 saves.

Baseball
Bedford 5, Nashua North 1
Cooper Anibal went six innings and allowed two hits with 10 strikeouts to lead the Bulldogs past the Titans in Division I action.
Anibal also drove in a run while a two-run triple in the fourth inning by Connor Collins put Bedford (4-0) ahead for good. Grant Lavigne also had an RBI as seven different Bulldogs had a hit.
