Around the Granite State: Tuesday’s Roundup
The Hollis Brookline High School boys soccer team got three goals in the first half and rolled to a 4-2 win Tuesday over Souhegan in Division II action.
Joey Dias got the scoring started for the Cavs in the fourth minute and an own-goal by Souhegan in the ninth minute put HB up 2-0. The Sabers cut that lead in half on a goal by Jacob Alger (assisted by Linus Werner) in the 31st minute, but HB made it 3-1 eight minutes later, as Kyle Simpson found Joe Brown for a goal.
Dale Jacobs made it 4-1 on an unassisted goal in the 51st minute and Werner got it back for Souhegan in the 61st minute, scoring off an assist by Cameron Watson.
Ryan Coutu finished with 11 saves for the Cavs while Matt Greany stopped eight shots for the Sabers. Both teams go to 1-1 on the season.
