Here’s a look at what went on Wednesday in New Hampshire high school sports.
NASHUA – Collin Morrow scored three goals and had two assists Wednesday and the Nashua High School South boys lacrosse team survived to beat Salem 10-9 in Division I action.
Devin Linscott added three goals for the Panthers (6-6) and Shane Puleo had a goal and two assists as South rallied twice in the first half to tie the game 7-7 at halftime. The Panthers managed to hold off the Blue Devils (3-8) in the second half, thanks in part to goalie Nate Redin (14 saves).
Drew Hailey had three goals and an assist to lead Salem, while Mitch McGinn had two goals and two assists and goalie Sebastian Farah made 18 saves. The Blue Devils had a chance to tie at the end, but a shot with 9.1 seconds left was wide and they couldn’t get another shot off before time expired.
Girls Lacrosse: Bedford 16, Merrimack 10
The Bulldogs won their seventh in a row, beating the Tomahawks to improve to 11-1 on the season.
Kennedy Boyle led the way for Bedford with five goals and an assist while Brooke Burdon had four goals and a helper and Hannah McCarthy also added four goals. Sydney Lynch chipped in with two goals and an assist and Emily Burton made 10 saves.
Girls Tennis: Bedford 9, Timberlane 0
The Bulldogs collected their seventh sweep of the season with a win over the Owls.
Anli Zhang (No. 1) and Abby Ramsay (No. 2) won their respective singles matches and also won the No. 1 doubles match. Grace Goyette (No. 3) and Maylene LaPress (No. 4) also won their singles matches and took the No. 2 doubles.
Caroline Herz was the winner at No. 5 singles and Erin Stearns won at No. 6, while Sophia Dimos and Ryan O’Meara took the No. 3 doubles match.
