Around the Granite State: Alvirne football stops skid with win over Spaulding
Here are results from Thursday’s high school action.
Charlie Crawford accounted for three touchdowns and the Alvirne High School football team stopped a two-game skid with a 49-22 win Thursday night at Spaulding.
Crawford threw for two touchdowns and had 110 yards rushing and another score, with both touchdown passes going to Ryan Rocheleau.
Mike Landermesser also ran for two touchdowns for the Broncos (4-2, No. 9 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll), who outscored the Red Raiders 27-8 in the second half.
No. 2 Exeter 28, Timberlane 0
Jack Kavanaugh ran for 130 yards and two touchdowns to help keep the Blue Hawks (6-0) undefeated with a road win over the Owls.
Daniel Batstone added 48 yards and a score on the ground and Tyler Bland had 39 yards and a touchdown rushing.
Field Hockey
Windham 3, Manchester Memorial-Central 1
The Jaguars picked up a road win Wednesday night in Manchester to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Emme Mulrenan, Jaidyn Seitzer and Ella Gallinelli each had a goal for Windham (5-7) while Sedona Lee and Laikyn Reeners each had an assist. Eliza Meuse played well defensively, including making her fourth defensive save of the season.
Girls Volleyball
Hollis Brookline 3, Exeter 0
The Cavaliers picked up another road win by scores of 25-22, 25-23 and 25-13.
Anika Carlson led the way for HB (10-3) with 14 kills while Maggie Noble had eight kills and four aces. Lolly Adair added six kills and five aces and Kate Berrigan had five kills and one ace.
