The Bedford High School boys basketball team was able to hold off a late rally Friday night by Nashua North for an 81-76 win in a Division I contest.

Luke Soden led the Bulldogs (5-0) with 34 points and Austin Kasyjanski added 18 points, as Bedford used a 14-6 early in the fourth quarter to take a 69-58 lead.

North (4-2) answered with a 9-1 run to get within three points, but Bedford had enough late to keep the Titans at bay.

Parth Miglani led North with 36 points while Jaden Pena had 10 points and Alize Roig-Cortes added eight.

Alvirne 54, Merrimack 44

The Broncos picked up a win over the Tomahawks behind 16 points from Andrew Deely.

Profile 61, Woodsville 51

The Patriots (6-0) remained undefeated with a win over the Engineers, thanks to 31 points from Josh Robie.

Alex Leslie added 10 points for Profile. Landon Kingsbury had 20 points for Woodsville and Conner Newcomb had 12.

Girls Basketball

Bedford 55, Nashua North 13

The Bulldogs held the Titans scoreless in the first quarter on the way to a big win.

Lyla Stein led the way for Bedford with 14 points, including four 3-pointers, while Lana McCarthy added 12 points. Devlyn McDonald chipped in eight points and Mel McCarthy had seven.

Lilly Small led North with seven points, including two 3-pointers.

Goffstown 31, Manchester Memorial 28

The Crusaders came up just short against the Grizzlies. NyAsia McKelvey had 10 points and eight rebounds while Avery Jenkins had eight points and four rebounds.

Alvirne 58, Merrimack 29

The Broncos picked up their second win with a road victory over the Tomahawks.

Ella Hartson had 14 points for Alvirne while Avery Willard and Julia Adams had eight apiece.

Gianna Maglio had 19 points for Merrimack.

Woodsville 51, Profile 41

The Engineers got 15 points each from Makayla Walker and Paige Royer in a win over the Patriots.

Mya Brown had 11 points and Maddie Koehler had 10 for Profile.

Girls Hockey

Beekmantown (N.Y.) 3, Lebanon-Stevens-Kearsarge 0

LSK came up short despite getting 23 saves from goalie Andy Lindquist.
