Around the Granite State: Bedford girls basketball gets win over Nashua South
Here are results from Tuesday night’s high school basketball action.
Juliet Laws and Sarah Muir each had 16 points to lead the Bedford High School girls basketball team to a 70-28 win Tuesday night over Nashua South.
Eva Zink added 14 points and Mel McCarthy was also in double figures with 13 points for the Bulldogs (11-1), who led 23-5 after one quarter.
The Panthers (9-2) got eight points from Maggie Gallagher while Nicole De Jesus and Brooke Berger each had four points.
Pembroke 44, Souhegan 34
The Sabers trailed by just three points going into the fourth quarter but the Spartans were able to hit their free throws down the stretch for the win.
Nayaa Dineshkumar and Brynn Siska each had seven points and nine rebounds to lead Souhegan (7-5) while Zofie Rosenfield and Julia Skelton also had seven points apiece.
Kate Stephens led Pembroke (11-0) with 16 points and Anne Phillips recorded 14 points in the win.
Hollis Brookline 53, Timberlane 50
The Cavaliers picked up a win over the Owls behind 19 points from Ana O’Donnell.
Mya Blackman added 10 points and Kendall Dunn recorded nine markers for HB (7-4 in D2), which had a 29-25 lead at halftime.
Rylee Donahue scored 26 points to lead Timberlane (9-4 in D1).
Timberlane 47, Sanborn 18 (Monday)
Rylee Donahue scored 19 points to help the Owls get a win over the Indians.
Sam Mooney was also in double figures with 15 points while Julia Johnson scored seven points for Timberlane
Sanborn (5-5 in D2) got five points from Kaylee Fortin.
Salem 56, Concord 16 (Monday)
Morgann Raskow scored 16 points to lead the Blue Devils to the win against the Crimson Tide.
Liv DeFrancesco added seven points for Salem while Emma Sarsfield and Caroline Case had six points apiece.
Boys Basketball
Belmont 77, Inter-Lakes 39
Evan Martinez had 23 points as the Red Raiders (14-0) remained undefeated after a win against the Lakers.
Brody Ennis had 17 points while Nike Smith was also in double figures with 14 points for Belmont.
