Lana McCarthy scored 14 points and Kate Allard added 11 points as the Bedford High School girls basketball team defeated Nashua South 71-21 on Friday night.

Annie Zink and Mel McCarthy added eight points apiece and Sarah Muir had seven as the Bulldogs improved to 13-0 in Division I this season.

Morgan Gillis led South (5-8) with eight points, including two 3-pointers, while Karina O’Donnell had four.

Portsmouth 65, Spaulding 8

The Clippers won their third in a row, cruising past the Red Raiders.

Maddie MacCannell had 14 points for Portsmouth while Avery Romps added 12 points and Bridget Emery and Gabby Fancy each had nine.

Timberlane 24, Souhegan 12

The Owls (6-7 in Division II) picked up their second win in a row behind 13 points from Maia Parker.

Timberlane held the Sabers scoreless in the first and fourth quarters. Mishka Tower led Souhegan with five points.

Keene 50, Manchester Memorial 45

The Crusaders fell at home to the Blackbirds despite getting 24 points from NyAsia McKelvey.

McKevley also had 16 rebounds and four blocks while Marlaina Schmitt had nine points and five rebounds and Jocelyn Eosue had seven points.

Boys basketball

Merrimack 51, Manchester Central 44

The Tomahawks won for the third time in four games, beating the Little Green at home.

Jensen Monroe led the way with 14 points for Merrimack while Matt Schmitt scored six points and played well overall.

Central got 17 points from Asher Zengo and 16 points from Izaya Diaz.

Keene 70, Manchester Memorial 34

The Blackbirds got the win over the Crusaders, getting 21 points from Javon Massiah and 19 points from Fitch Hennessey.

Girls Hockey

Manchester 3, Bedford 2 (OT)

The Kings got a win in overtime, with Jamie Webster scoring all three goals.

Elizabeth Kelley assisted on the game-winner and Chloe Gilroy made 14 saves.
