Around the Granite State: Bishop Guertin field hockey rallies to beat Merrimack (video)

NASHUA – Addison Daddona scored three goals to help lead the Bishop Guertin High School field hockey team to a 4-2 comeback win over Merrimack on Monday at Stellos Stadium.

Daddona scored on two penalty strokes in the second half, the first of which tied the game 2-2 with 11.8 seconds left in the third quarter. Carly Green scored what proved to be the game-winner on a penalty corner in the fourth as the Cardinals (6-2) erased a 2-0 deficit.

Sophia Harrington had an assist on Green’s goal and Ayla Saeturn had five saves.

Jackie Hayes and Allie Wyand each had a goal in the first half for Merrimack (2-6-1) while Annabelle Cassetty had eight saves.

St. Thomas 7, Hopkinton 1

The Saints dominated the Hawks in this matchup of the last two undefeated teams in Division III.

Riley Thomas led St. Thomas (6-0) with three goals while Talula Gregg had a goal and two assists and Molly Gaynor had a goal and an assist. Lizzy Holden added two assists.

Leah Walsh and Ava Annino scored a goal apiece and Bizzy Pelletier played well in goal.

No. 2 Londonderry 3, Exeter 2

The Lancers continued their perfect start to the season, improving to 6-0 in Division I with a win over the Blue Hawks.

Lexi Padykula, Lindsey McKinnon and Gemma Murray had a goal apiece for Londonderry (No. 2 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Morgan Ayotte had an assist and Molly Tharrington made three saves.

Dani Caron had a goal and an assist for Exeter (3-4) while Jane Lyons also scored.

Nashua South 3, Nashua North 0

Brooker Berger had a goal and an assist to lead the Panthers to a win over the Titans in the Battle of the Bridge.

Addie Borden and Isabel Picanco also had a goal apiece for South (2-7) while Keegan Dolan and Sofia Forti each had an assist.

Meury Navarette recorded five saves while Wylie Hart, Maddie Langer, Molly Mullaney, Meenu Dwaraka and Maggie Schmidt played well in the win.

Ayla Seo had 16 saves for North (0-8).

No. 6 Winnacunnet 5, No. 4 Pinkerton 1 

McKinley Fowler and Sophia Donatelli each had two goals to lead the Warriors to a win over the Astros.

Maddy Garrant also had a goal for Winnacunnet (6-1-1), which won its fourth in a row.

Pinkerton (6-2) got a goal from Gwen Lee on a penalty stroke while Ayvree Hamilton played well on defense.

Portsmouth 5, Manchester 1

Lucy Kellogg scored twice in the third quarter to help the Clippers pickup a win over the Kings.

Maggie Rice, Isla O’Hare and Marina Bonilla also scored for Portsmouth (2-6) while Eliza Hales had an assist. Reese McCauley finished with nine saves.

Rylee Donovan had the lone goal for Manchester (0-8).

Kearsarge 9, Newport 0

The Cougars posted their fourth shutout of the season in the win over the Tigers.

Bella Valle had four goals for Kearsarge (5-1) and Abby Bradbury added two goals and an assist. Ryley Grace and Saortia Carmody had a goal and an assist apiece while Adella Monnat also scored.

No. 8 Dover 2, Timberlane 1

The Green Wave snapped a two-game skid with a home win over the Owls.

Hannah Calhoun and Rylie Philipps each had a goal for Dover (6-3) and Meredith Toland added an assist. Scarlett Gray finished with five saves.
