Around the Granite State: Campbell boys lacrosse holds off Plymouth

LITCHFIELD – Andrew Willnus and Wyatt Tarr each had a pair of goals Tuesday to lead the Campbell High School boys lacrosse team to an 8-3 win over Plymouth.

Tarr also had an assist while Cruz Sandquist, Zach Hannah, Hunter Grant and Nathan Lencki also had a goal apiece. Will O’Brien made eight saves for the Cougars and Lucas Craig was 12 of 14 on faceoffs.

Plymouth got goals from Cooper Legacy, Luke Legacy and Nolan Galvin.

No. 9 Windham 10, Alvirne 5

The Jaguars improved to 7-1 on the season with a win over the Broncos.

Josh Trudel led the way for Windham with six goals while Nate Crowley had two goals and Ryan Parke scored and had two assists. Casey Kramer finished with eight saves for the Jaguars.

No. 4 Exeter 19, Nashua North 2

Alec Jenkerson and Dylan Noble had a goal apiece for the Titans in a home loss to the Blue Hawks.

Josh Parsons finished with 14 saves for North.

Girls Lacrosse

Oyster River-Newmarket 16, Spaulding 6

The Bobcats got four goals and an assist from Grace Royal as they rolled to a win over the Red Raiders.

Lexi Gill and Lindsey Morin (one assist) each had three goals while Hannah Main scored twice and Emy Przybyski had a goal and two assists. Mia Welgarz, Shea Sullivan and Kris Jakobs had a goal apiece and Keira Ferris had two assists.

Sydney Harris made three saves and Eliza Farwell had one for Oyster River-Newmarket.

Plymouth 13, Campbell 12

The Cougars came up just short on the road against the Bobcats.

Ava Grant had five goals to lead Campbell while Lilli Wilson had three goals and an assist. Maddie Cuvelier scored twice and Abby Guerette and Callie Hoover had a goal apiece.

Rania Chaudrhy finished with 14 saves.

No. 10 Goffstown 20, Alvirne 1

Addison Lemire had the lone goal for the Broncos in Monday’s loss to the Grizzlies.

Alexa Kruger finished with seven saves.
