Around the Granite State: Campbell girls lacrosse picks up key win

Ava Grant scored seven goals and had two assists to help the Campbell High School girls lacrosse team to an 18-5 win Tuesday over Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough.

Lilli Wilson added five goals and four assists and Zoe Bourque had three goals and four assists for the Cougars (4-7), who kept their hopes of making the Division III playoffs alive with the win.

Rania Chaudhry stopped 62 percent of the shots she faced, including several in the first half with the game still close.

St. Thomas 22, Coe-Brown 12

Talula Gregg scored eight goals for the Saints, as they pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Bears.

Lizzy Holden added five goals and Charlotte De Tolla and Julia Bryan added three goals apiece. Kensley Harris also scored twice and Reece Anderson had a goal for St. Thomas (13-1).

Chloe Baker made nine saves while Lena Shaheen, Payton Baker and Ava Lyder played well defensively.

Avery Keefe led Coe-Brown (7-6) with five goals and an assist while Rose Bean and Brooke Kozlowski had two goals apiece. Lilly Peabody, Alexis Thomas and Ellie Escabi each added a goal and Natalie George and Carolyn Clawson had an assist each.

Goffstown 13, Kennett 8

Trinity Lunn had two goals and two assists, including her 100th career point, as the Grizzlies knocked off the Eagles.

Lunn also had seven draw controls and four groundballs while Peyton Duff added two goals, five assists and four groundballs. Mia Brisette scored three goals and had 11 draw controls and Ella Coletti scored twice, had an assist and five groundballs.

Lili Connor also had two goals and Morghan Dodge had a goal and an assist. Abby Dubreuil added a goal and McKenna Kelly finished with six saves.

Boys Lacrosse

Laconia 14, Hopkinton 12

Brady Stevens scored eight goals for the Sachems as they picked up a win at home over the Hawks.

Eli Nadeau added three goals and three assists and Paul Ganchi had two goals and an assist for Laconia (9-4). Sean O’Sullivan had a goal and an assist and Rock Londer also had an assist while Stephen Mingo-Timmins played well in goal.

Hopkinton (10-3) got five goals and an assist from Jackson Westover and three goals and four assists from Merrick Chapin.

No. 5 Derryfield 22, Spaulding 2

RJ Proulx had four goals and four assists and Brady Doldo had three goals and three assists as the Cougars cruised to the win over the Red Raiders.

Ryan Maxwell added two goals and three assists and Alex May had three goals while Logan Dyer had two goals and an assist and Lukas Gaff scored twice for Derryfield (16-0, No. 5 in the MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Coaches Poll).

Emerson Stover, Jackson Hatfield and Garrett Lande each had a goal and an assist while Dylan Clyne, Caleb May and Charlie Decker each had a goal. Heath Mueller and Eli Oliff had an assist apiece.

Jaxon DeYoung and Liam England each made two saves while Clyne, Proulx, Awaab Mousa and Isaac Kosakowski combined to win 17 of 24 faceoffs.

Liam Hickman scored both goals for Spaulding.

No. 8 Winnacunnet 13, Hanover 6

The Warriors wrapped up their regular season with a road win against the Bears.

Becket Rath led the way with seven goals for Winnacunnet (12-3) while Alec Mitchell had two goals and an assist. Liam McNally and Brian McCown had two goals apiece and Burke Spalding had two assists.

Spencer Zigler, Hale Dodier, Will Granger and Braden Nowak each added an assist.

Bishop Brady 12, Lebanon 11

Joey Richardson had four goals and an assist and Jason Doyle won faceoff with 20 seconds left in a tie game to help set up the game-winning goal.

Drake Bekar, Anthony Dow and Alex King each had two goals and an assist for Bishop Brady (8-5).

No. 10 Timberlane 15, Pembroke 4

Rocco Psareas had six goals and four assists to lead the Owls past the Spartans.

Landon Petry had two goals and two assists while Cam Bonfiglio scored three times and Gavin Dubois had two goals and an assist for Timberlane (12-3).

Gio Recesso and Dylan Lindblad added a goal apiece in the win.

Baseball

Hillsboro-Deering 7, Hopkinton 6 (nine innings)

The Hillcats picked up the win in extra innings behind solid relief pitching from Adrien Cordeiro and Seth Dalphond.

Jake McClure and Joel Belanger each had seven hits in the win for Hillsboro-Deering.
