Around the Granite State: Christenson gets 100th point in Exeter girls lacrosse’s win

Phoebe Christenson had a goal and two assists, including the 100th point of her high school career, to help lead the Exeter High School girls lacrosse team to a 15-6 win over Hollis Brookline.

Hailey O’Kane added four goals and an assist and Anna Liberman had two goals and an assist in the Blue Hawks’ win on Friday.

Karli Scherpf also had two goals while Josie Drunsic and Riley Benevides had a goal and an assist each. Claire Wilhelm, Kelsey Hayward, Brooke Battle and Racquel Battle had a goal apiece.

Molly Byrne made nine saves in goal for Exeter (3-0, No. 6 in the MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Coaches Poll).

Derryfield 15, Hopkinton 7

Alex Benson scored five goals to help lead the Cougars past the Hawks on Friday.

Chloe Bremberg and Finley Llewellyn added four goals apiece and Maddy Paolino scored twice for Derryfield. Lily Kfoury finished with 11 saves and Sadie Walsh recorded nine saves.

No. 3 Souhegan 19, Salem 5

The Blue Devils dropped a home game to the Sabers on Friday, getting three goals from Emily Young and two goals from Katie Wood.

Olivia Schoenrock had 14 saves in goal and Zeynep Yildirim recorded two saves for Salem.

Boys Lacrosse

Dover 11, Oyster River-Newmarket 10 (OT)

Kyle Behan scored off an assist from Tobey Desroches in overtime to give the Green Wave the win over the Bobcats on Saturday.

Desroches finished with three assists to go with three goals and Ben Tower also had three goals for Dover. Logan Carter scored twice and Parker Kethcam had a goal and three assists while Porter Gray also had a goal

Danny Bretz finished with 12 saves, including a couple of big ones in the fourth quarter and overtime.

Merrimack Valley 10, Kingswood 5

The Pride picked up their first win of the season by knocking off the Knights.

Connor Hanson led the way for Merrimack Valley with three goals and an assist while Matt Lauren (one assist) and Tyler Carter had two goals apiece.

Jake Demers, Ryan Monaghan and Colin Reardon had a goal and an assist apiece while Mike Heinehad an assist and 11 groundballs. Jake Leclerc finished with 12 groundballs while Michael Kingsbury made 15 saves and Carter Lankhorst won 10 of 19 faceoffs.

Travis Garcia, Colby Scheffer and Jackson Deyermond also played well defensively for the Pride.
