The fourth-seeded Exeter High School boys lacrosse team ended Monday’s Division I quarterfinal on an 8-0 to rally to beat No. 5 Merrimack 10-7.

Tyler Bland, Griffin Lechner and Alex Scott each had two goals during the run for the Blue Hawks (13-6) while Patrick Hathaway scored what ended up being the game-winner, capping a stretch of three goals in 54 seconds, with 9:58 to play.

Griffin Genard, Sam Gibney and Zachary Sprague also had a goal apiece for Exeter while Ronan Wilbur played well in goal and Will McIlroy dominated on faceoffs.

Merrimack (11-7) got three goals and an assist from Sean Anderson and one goal and three assists from Max Giles. Henry Tobin, Peyton Connelly and Cayden Dine also had a goal apiece while Gavin Hickey and Hudson Rousseau each had an assist.

Mason Trembley finished with 18 saves and Nathaniel Bergen played well defensively for the Tomahawks, who led 6-1 late in the first half and 7-2 early in the third quarter.

Exeter will take on No. 1 Pinkerton in the semifinals at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Bill Ball Stadium in Exeter.

D3 Boys Quarterfinals

No. 1 Coe-Brown 12, No. 9 Kearsarge 1

Gil Bean scored four goals and had three assists to help lead the Bears to their first playoff win, as they knocked off the Cougars.

Sam Frye added three goals and an assist and Garrett Ward had two goals and an assist for Coe-Brown (16-0). Ryan Rodler had a goal and three assists and Liam White had a goal and two assists while Joseph Fenton also scored.

Jack Matson made five saves and Aiden McGuigan was 14 of 17 on faceoffs.

Reed Cole-Tucker had the lone goal for Kearsarge and Will Spanos picked up an assist.

Coe-Brown will face No. 4 Hopkinton in the semifinals at 5 p.m. at Bank of NH Stadium in Laconia.
