Around the Granite State: Exeter girls basketball tops Trinity

The Exeter High School girls basketball team won its fourth game in a row Friday night, beating Trinity 46-36.

Jessica Melick had 16 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Blue Hawks (9-4) and Lexy Rogers added 10 points and eight boards. Nicole Melick scored seven points and Ava Cammarata recorded six points.

Emme Kayes chipped in with five points and four steals and Mya Dinneen dished out four assists.

Oyster River 65, Bishop Brady 21

The Bobcats cruised past the Giants, with three players scoring in double figures.

Wren Horne led the way with 16 points for Oyster River (8-4) while Ashling Ferris had 13 points and Payton Drapeau scored 12 points.

Jazzy Alvarez added nine markers and Lucy Gialousis recorded eight points in the win.

Windham 44, Pinkerton 41

The Astros came back in the third quarter to take a one-point lead into the fourth, but couldn’t hang on against the Jaguars.

Taya Brown led Pinkerton (7-7) with 14 points, including two 3-pointers, while Cara Mahn had nine points and Brooke Benz scored seven points.

Salem 41, Portsmouth 25

Ali Marshall had 12 points and the Blue Devils’ shut down the Clippers for the win.

Morgann Raskow also had eight points for Salem (8-5) while Nicole Ringdahl had eight points and Caroline Case scored seven points. Makayla Burns grabbed nine rebounds.

Souhegan 58, John Stark 26 (Thursday)

The Sabers got out to a 12-point lead in the first quarter and rolled to a win over the Generals.

Nayaa Dineshkumar had 12 points for Souhegan (8-5) and Mariellah Dart was also in double figures with 11 points. Brynn Siska finished with nine markers.

Kylie Dinan led John Stark with 12 points.
