GOFFSTOWN – The Goffstown High School boys basketball team opened the third quarter with a 15-2 run to swing Tuesday night’s game against Spaulding and held on for a 69-62 win.

The Grizzlies scored 42 points in the second half, as Ryan Strand scored 13 of his 15 points after halftime and Noah Durham added 11 of his 13 points. Cam Hujask led Goffstown (3-4) with 16 points.
Spaulding (0-7), which was down 58-48 with 4:05 remaining, cut the lead to four twice in the final 90 seconds, but couldn’t get any closer. Zander Welbridge led the Red Raiders with 26 points, including six 3-pointers, and Hunter Trueman had 19 points, with three 3s. As a team, Spaulding made 11 3-pointers, with four in the fourth quarter.
Bedford 83, Manchester Memorial 65
The Bulldogs got the road win over the Crusaders to improve to 7-1 in D1. Luke Soden led the way, scoring 33 of his career-high 44 points in the first half.
Gilford 79, Hopkinton 42
The Hawks got 22 points, three rebounds and two assists from Will Tanuvasa but it wasn’t enough against the Eagles.
Abram Standefer added 13 points and two assists, Gavin Davies recorded four points, five rebounds and two assists, and Marek Joppa chipped in with eight rebounds and three assists.
Girls Basketball
Bedford 51, Manchester Memorial 30
The Bulldogs picked up a big win over the Crusaders, getting 19 points and six rebounds from Kate Allard. Lana McCarthy added 17 points and 11 boards for Bedford.
Memorial got 12 points and three assists from Maddie Pepra-Omani and NyAsia McKelvey had eight points and five rebounds.
Milford 55, Pelham 47
The Spartans handed the Pythons their first loss of the season, coming back from an early 15-point deficit.
Lulu Maguire had 18 points for Milford, while Claire Cote added 11 points. Shea Hanson had 10 points and Avery Fuller added seven.
