GOFFSTOWN – Maeve Lee led the way Friday with five goals and an assist to help the Hanover High School girls lacrosse team to an 11-8 win over Goffstown.

Lee scored three times in the fourth quarter, including the goal that proved to be the game-winner with 7:05 left, giving the Bears (1-0) a 9-8 lead. Hanover ended the game on a 4-0 run, and after falling behind 7-5 early in the fourth, outscored Goffstown 6-1 the rest of the way.

Freshman Maeve Bradley added three goals and an assist, while freshman Cassidy Loughman also had three goals. Charlotte Robinson made nine saves, six in the first half, as the Bears got out to a 5-3 lead despite losing 8 of 10 draw controls.

Goffstown (0-2) got two goals and two assists from Eva DeMatteis while Sydney Lavoie and Trinity Lunn each had two goals. Avery Brisiel and Peyton Duff added a goal apiece and Abaigeal Estano had six saves.

The Grizzlies were 14 of 23 on the draw but turned the ball over 14 times.

No. 5 Nashua South 8, Londonderry 7

Maren Lowell recorded her 100th career point as the Panthers held on for a win over the Lancers.

Lowell had a goal and an assist while Ella Benzekri had three goals and Karina O’Donnell had two goals and an assist. Morgan Udzanovich added a goal and an assist and Maddie Matylewski also scored.

Keira Walsh made six saves for South (2-0) while Nevaeh Eppolito, Abbey Benotti, Audrey Mullaney and Karina Santana played well defensively.

No. 6 Souhegan 16, Nashua North 1

Izzy Stevenson and Libby Kennedy each had five goals and an assist to lead the Sabers to a big win over the Titans.

Emma Kennedy added three goals and two assists and Lyla Kimball also scored twice. Ava Grace had three assists and Lyla Hawkes had one assist for Souhegan (1-1).

Gilford 19, Campbell 5

The Cougars fell at home to the Golden Eagles in their first game of the season.

Maddie Cuvelier led the way with three goals and Ava Grant scored twice for Campbell. Rania Chaudhry finished 12 saves.

Gilford got six goals from Olivia Keenan.

Boys Lacrosse

Goffstown 16, Kingswood 14

The Grizzlies got out to an 8-2 lead in the first quarter and held on as the Knights came back twice to make things interesting.

Sam Chapman led the way for Goffstown (1-1), scoring four goals and adding an assist, while Eli Dillaway had three goals and two assists. TJ Smedick added four goals and helped the Grizzlies win 25 of 32 faceoffs.

Owen Matatall also had three goals and Noah Bless scored while Tyler Lessard and Wyatt Bradley had an assist apiece. Sean Cote finished with eight saves.

Kingswood (2-1) got three goals and six assists from Will Crane and Keegan Russo added five goals and an assist. Keller Peacock had three goals and Serafin Agramonte scored the first two goals of his varsity career while Dom Alberto also scored.

Wyatt Brown overcame a tough first quarter to finish with 14 saves.

Oyster River-Newmarket 8, No. 10 Windham 7

The Bobcats picked up their first win by knocking off the Jaguars.

Jake Failla had two goals and four assists to lead ORN (1-1) while Ty Callander had two goals. Dee Tsakiris and Evan Plourde had a goal and an assist each while Alex Moody and Cole Levesque each scored.

Levesque also won 11 of 19 faceoffs while Talon Beyer added an assist and Cole Norris made 12 saves.

Windham (1-1) got two goals each from Ryan Parke and Josh Trudel. Matt Desmarais recorded two assists for the Jaguars.

No. 2 Derryfield 14, Winnacunnet 6

John Kramer scored six goals to lift the Cougars to a road victory over the Warriors

RJ Proulx added four goals and an assist for Derryfield (2-0) while Chili Cabot (assist), Cooper Ketcham, Brady Doldo and Dom Cercone each had a goal. Max Fowler had two assists and Alex Murray finished with one assist.

Parker Lebiedz made 13 saves while Logan Purvis and Max Fowler combined to win 10 of 21 faceoffs.

Winnacunnet (1-1) got four goals from Lucas Botnick and Liam McNally added two scores. Tim Kollmorgan, Ben Nowak and Brian McCown had an assist apiece.

No. 1 Bishop Guertin 21, Manchester 3

Brady Dumont had three goals and three assists to lead the Cardinals to win over the Kings.

Hudson Schmitt also scored three times while Caleb Yeung had two goals and two assists and Owen King two goals and an assist. Beau Dubois added a goal and two assists and Cam Hayden had a goal and three assists.

Carter Jozokis, Sean Krauss, Jeremy Warren, Jackson Warren, Paulo Vazquez, Liam Connerty and Hunter Duany added a goal apiece. Michael MacDonough finished with three saves and Jonah Felicano had two. Vazquez also went 9 of 10 on faceoffs.
