Around the Granite State: Hill gets 100th goal, Hollis Brookline girls lacrosse gets win

Sabrina Hill scored five goals and had two assists Thursday to help lead the Hollis Brookline High School girls lacrosse team to a 13-5 win over Oyster River-Newmarket.

That included Hill’s 100th career goal while Cailean Roy added six goals, nine draw controls and six groundballs for the Cavaliers (1-0, No. 7 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll).

Juliette Ogren also scored, had 11 groundballs and four draw controls, while Blake Curley added a goal, the first of her career. McKenna Maguire had six draw controls and four groundballs while Nyah Jernberg had three groundballs and Addy Dougherty made nine saves.

No. 5 Nashua South 15, Concord 10

Maren Lowell had five goals and nine draw controls to help the Panthers pick up a win over Crimson Tide.

Ella Benzekri also had four goals and Morgan Uzdanovich had three goals and two assists. Saige Devins, Nevaeh Eppolito and Karina O’Donell added a goal apiece while Maddie Matylewski had two assists.

Keira Walsh finished with four saves for South (1-0) while Brynn Tefft, Audrey Mullaney and Abbey Benotti played well defensively.

No. 4 Pinkerton 16, Salem 3

The Astros jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first half and rolled past the Blue Devils.

Bella Pinardi had four goals and three assists and Hailey Schnider had three goals for Pinkerton (1-1). Hannah Lisauskas added two goals while Delanie Summers, Natalie Paradzick, Sookie Folsom, Elise Collins, Ashley Clouthier, Allyah Gooden and Ava Michelinie had a goalie apiece.

Sara DiClemente and Paige Fenner combined for five saves for the Astros.

Merrimack Valley 13, Alvirne 2

The Broncos came up short on the road against the Pride.

Audriana Chipperini and Addison Lemire each had a goal for Alvirne (0-2) while Alexa Kruger made 14 saves.
