Around the Granite State: Hollis Brookline field hockey cruises past Pelham

HOLLIS – Sabrina Hill had two goals and Nyah Jernberg had a goal and an assist to lead the Hollis Brookline High School field hockey team to a 4-0 win Wednesday over Pelham.

Emily Tebbetts and Addison Marchant also had a goal apiece while Anna McGurk had an assist and Maddie Barich finished with four saves for the Cavaliers (12-1, No. 8 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll).

No. 7 Pinkerton 3, Salem 0

Jaelyn Crossman scored a pair of goals to lead the Astros past the Blue Devils.

Meaghan Shea added a goal and an assist and Ayvree Hamilton also picked up an assist. Cara Murray played well for Pinkerton (10-3-1) in the midfield and Molly Kuncik finished with seven saves.

No. Keene 9, Nashua North 0

The Blackbirds got goals from seven players in a win over the Titans.

McKenna Nelson and Sofia Miller had two goals apiece while Harper Zalaski, Maya Stebbins and Maddie Boudle had a goal each. Lilly Vitters and Natalia Gillis each scored their first varsity goal.

Lilly Rowell and Dayna English split time in goal for Keene (12-0-1).

No. 6 Dover 3, Nashua South 1 

The Green Wave picked up the win at home over the Panthers.

Giana Leonardi, Leyden Churchill and Hannah Deroy had a goal apiece for Dover (11-2-1) while Meredith Toland had two assists. Scarlett Gray made six saves for the Green Wave.

Saige Devins had the goal for South (3-11) and Keegan Dolan had an assist. Isabelle Shiju made 13 saves in goal while Karina ‘Donnell, Wylie Hart, Molly Mullaney and Emily Richard also played well.

No. 9 Winnacunnet 6, Portsmouth 0

McKinley Fowler and Nicole Torromeo had two goals apiece to lead the Warriors past the Clippers.

Fiona McAfee and Sofia Donatelli added a goal each for Winnacunnet (10-3-1).

Girls Volleyball

Portsmouth Christian 3, Nute 0

The Eagles got a sweep of the Rams by scores of 25-15, 25-9 and 25-11.

Quinn Arico had sevens kills, 15 assists and eight aces for PCA (11-1) and Heidy Geyer had eight kills, two aces and three digs. Dylan Anderson and Emma Anderson each had four aces while Bea Monohan and Lexi Jordan each had three digs.
