Around the Granite State: Hollis Brookline field hockey gets road win over Kennett
Here are results from Tuesday’s field hockey action.
NORTH CONWAY – Sabrina Hill had a goal and two assists to help lead the Hollis Brookline High School field hockey team to a 3-0 win Tuesday over Kennett.
Caroline Crawford and Addison Marchant also had a goal apiece for the Cavaliers (2-0) while Ashley Disco and Brooke Bouchard also played well.
Kallyn Ewing finished with 10 saves for the Eagles (0-2).
Merrimack Valley 3, No. 8 Souhegan 2
The Pride rallied with three unanswered goals to get their first win over the Sabers since 2013.
Kaiya Mercier had a goal and two assists for Merrimack Valley (1-0) while Alyssa Brodeur and Izzy Tucker had a goal apiece. Abbey Thompson added an assist and Taylor Gionet finished with 16 saves.
Souhegan (0-2) got goals from Hanalia Dykstra and Caitlin Ridings with Ella Russell and Eme Godin each recording an assist. Amelia Warecki finished with seven saves.
Plymouth 5, Milford 0
Amelia Avery had two goals and an assist as the Bobcats picked up a win in their opener against the Spartans.
Trista Strickland also had two goals for Plymouth (1-0) while Macky Welch added a goal and Maggie Roper recorded and assist.
Milford (0-2) got 30 saves from goalie Arianna Wells.
Concord 4, Portsmouth 0
Lilly Merrill scored twice as the Crimson Tide picked up a win in their opener on the road against the Clippers.
Elliana Wing and Amy Desrochers added a goal apiece for Concord (1-0).
