Around the Granite State: Hollis Brookline field hockey grabs another win
Here are results from Friday’s field hockey action.
HOLLIS – Nyah Jernberg and Addison Marchant each had two goals Friday night to help lead the Hollis Brookline High School field hockey team to a 6-0 win over Pembroke Academy.
Sabrina Hill and Emily Tebbetts also had a goal apiece for the Cavaliers (13-1, No. 8 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll), as they posted their 12th shutout of the season.
Souhegan 2, Bow 1
The Sabers scored on a penalty corner as time expired to get road win over the Falcons.
Ori Dart and Hanalia Dykstra each had a goal for Souhegan (10-4) while Caitlin Ridings and Ella Russell each had an assist. Amelia Warecki finished with 10 saves in the win.
No. 1 Keene 4, Windham 0
The Blackbirds picked up their first ever win against the Jaguars on Friday behind two goals and an assist from Sofia Miller.
Cece Wailer and Olive Thatcher also had a goal apiece for Keene (13-0-1) while Scarlett Miller, Ella Rice and Avery Allaire each had an assist. Lilly Rowell finished with seven saves in goal.
Windham (5-8) got 15 saves from Dana McAleer while Ella Wilkins played well defensively, making a save of her own. Sophie Manchester also played well for the Jaguars, as did Ella Gallinelli, Eliza Meuse and Sedona Lee.
