Around the Granite State: Hollis Brookline field hockey knocks off Plymouth

PLYMOUTH – Addison Marchant scored two goals to help the Hollis Brookline High School field hockey team to a 5-1 win Tuesday over Plymouth.

Emily Tebbetts added a goal and an assist while Brooke Bouchard and Anna McGurk also scored for the Cavaliers (14-1, No. 9 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Caroline Crawford had an assist and Maddie Barich finished with six saves.

Amelia Avery had the lone goal for the Bobcats (9-6) and Carlotta Contini had an assist. Alexis Lucas finished with seven saves.

No. 3 Dover 2, Merrimack 0

Erin Lynch had a goal and an assist to help the Green Wave to a win over the Tomahawks.

Meredith Toland also had a goal for Dover (12-2-1) and Kaela Robins added an assist. Scarlett Gray made one save for the Green Wave.

Hanover 3, Pembroke 1

The Bears beat the Spartans on the road for their third straight win.

Grace Healey, Sophia Mancini and Emma Richardson each had a goal for Hanover (8-6-1).

John Stark 1, Pelham 0

Addie DeCew scored the game’s only goal to lift the Generals over the Pythons.

Adie Bolduc had an assist on the goal and Rowin Ledy got the shutout in net. Emily Fredette, Kaitlin Dennis, Maxine Lundeen and Ryann Telgen played well defensively and Paityn Niquette had a solid game at midfield.

Souhegan 3, ConVal 0

The Sabers won their sixth in a row by shutting out the Cougars.

Hanalia Dykstra, Ori Dart and Emily Facey had a goal apiece for Souhegan (11-4) and Eme Godin, Ella Russell and Brooke Fallon each added an assist.

Goffstown 1, Windham 0

The Jaguars dropped a home game Monday to the Grizzlies, getting solid play from Megan Hallisey, Sophie Manchester, Sedona Lee, Emme Mulrenan and Ella Gallinelli.

Girls Volleyball

Bedford 3, Hollis Brookline 1

The Cavaliers fell to the undefeated Bulldogs by game scores of 25-16, 25-18, 18-25 and 25-19.

Kate Berrigan had 15 kills and two aces and Anika Carlson had 13 kills and two aces for HB (10-4). Maggie Noble had seven kills and two aces and Lolly Adair recorded four kills and two aces.
