Around the Granite State: Hopkinton field hockey blanks Sanborn

Autumn Meier scored four goals to lead the Hopkinton High School field hockey team to a 5-0 win Saturday over Sanborn.

Carlie Leino also had a goal for the Hawks (7-1) while Alyson Doffing, Maddie Dwyer, Gigi Upton and Mary Maughan played well on defense in the win.

Mascoma Valley 3, Lebanon 2

The Royals were able to come back from an early deficit and hold off the Raiders late for the win.

Avery Peck and Tori Petty scored to give Mascoma (6-1) the lead and Georgia Kondi scored on a penalty stroke for an insurance goal.

Lebanon scored with four minutes left to make it a one-goal game, but the defense of Kondi, Anna Emerson, Morgan Fitts and goalie Sam Harkins held on to help the Royals get the win.

Windham 0, Goffstown 0 (OT)

Freshman Sydney Rokel made her first start in goal and recorded five saves to help the Jaguars get the tie with the Grizzlies.

Jaidyn Seitzer, Rowan Bomba, Lyla Filadoro, Ella Wilkins and Abbie Petrini also played well for Windham (3-6-1).

Mascenic 5, Monadnock 1 (Friday)

The Vikings pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Huskies for the second time this week.

Charleigh Bohannon had the lone goal for Monadnock (2-6) and Makayla Harwood recorded 18 saves.
