Around the Granite State: Hopkinton field hockey gets win over Bishop Brady (video)
Here are results from Tuesday’s high school field hockey action.
CONCORD – Autumn Meier had two goals in the third quarter to help lead the Hopkinton High School field hockey team to a 3-0 win Tuesday over Bishop Brady.
Meier’s goals came 3:23 apart to put the Hawks (4-0) up and the junior also had an assist on a goal by Aurelia Salace with 3:59 left to put the game away.
Hopkinton finished with nine penalty corners, including five in the first quarter, while the Giants (1-3) had one, which came with five minutes remaining and Bishop Brady down two.
Ava Archambault helped keep the Giants in the game, making 35 saves.

Lucia Sakin scored the lone goal of the game to give the Bobcats (5-2) a win over the Raiders.
No. 6 Souhegan 5, Derryfield 0
Ella Russell had two goals to lead the Sabers past the Cougars.
Ella Normandin, Scarlet Lecolst and Abbey Gray added a goal apiece for Souhegan (6-0, No. 6 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Mariellah Dart and Ori Dart each had an assist and Amelia Warecki made a save.
No. 9 Timberlane 9, Manchester 0
Brooke Salafia and Taylor Alperin each had three goals to lead the Owls to the win over the Kings.
Rylee O’Connor had a goal and an assist while Esme Johnston and Kasidee Castro added a goal apiece for Timberlane (5-2). Aubrey Fitzgerald also had an assist and Austin Peters made four saves.
