Around the Granite State: John Stark field hockey gets win against ConVal
Here are results from Thursday’s high school field hockey action.
Caylin Worthen had two goals and an assist to lead the John Stark High School field hockey team to a 4-0 win over ConVal on Thursday.
Ava Friberg also had two goals and Jillian Fredette added two assists for the Generals (6-1) while Paityn Niquette had an assist.
Pelham 5, Laconia 1
Morghan Swiniarski had two goals to help lead the Pythons to the victory over the Sachems.
Sarah Coppinger added a goal and an assist and Jordan Robito had two assists. Cassidy Harrington and Kylie Almeida also had a goal apiece and Makenzie Comtois had an assist.
Plymouth 5, Newfound 1
Maggie Roper scored twice for the Bobcats as they picked up an out-of-division win over the Bears.
Amelia Avery, Ava Anderson and Trista Strickland also scored for Plymouth (5-1). Adeline Dollof had the lone goal for Newfound.
Hopkinton 7, Monadnock 0
The Hawks picked up the win behind a five-goal performance from Autumn Meier.
The Huskies got 30 saves from Makayla Harwood while Emma Cotnoir and Olivia Jacobson continued to play well for Monadnock.
