GOFFSTOWN – Jillian Fredette scored the game’s only goal early in the fourth quarter Wednesday night and the John Stark Regional High School field hockey team eked out a 1-0 win over Goffstown.

Fredette’s goal came 1:05 into the final frame after the Generals (2-0, No. 4 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll) had put almost constant pressure on the Grizzlies’ defense in the third quarter. John Stark had 13 penalty corners while Addy Pelletier made two saves in the first half and Edie Fischer had one.
Molly Braica stopped 15 shots for Goffstown (1-1-1) as the Grizzlies had just one corner.
No. 6 Pinkerton 5, Nashua South 1
Jaelyn Crossman scored four goals to lead the Astros to the win over the Panthers.
Natalie Paradzick also scored a goal for Pinkerton (2-0-1) and Anna Perkins had two assists. Tatum Billingsley and Ava Bennett also had a helper apiece. Elise LeBlanc made four saves while Jordan Pouliot, Lark Johnson and Caitlyn Lemay played well for the Astros.
Karina O’Donnell had the lone goal for South (0-3), scoring off a pass from Maren Lowell. Xiadani DeLaLima made 26 saves for the Panthers while Emily Richard, Roseanne Shiju, Ava DeGarabedian, Nyah Musa and Keira Walsh played well.
No. 2 Dover 3, Keene 0
The Green Wave (4-0) remained unbeaten with a road win over the Blackbirds (2-1).
Hannah Deroy, Audrey Carter and Gaby Anderson each had a goal for Dover while Rylen Gray had two assists. Hayley Tosh eared the shutout in goal.
Trinity Williamson made six saves for the Blackbirds while Avery Allaire, Emily Antosiewicz and Sarah Weber played well defensively.
Keene hosts Windham on Friday at 4:30 p.m. and will have Hawaiian theme night where the Blackbirds will be raising money to donate to victims of wildfires in Maui.
Londonderry 3, Merrimack 0
The Lancers (3-1) bounced back from their first loss with a shutout of the Tomahawks (1-2).
Alison Chambers, Ava Windisch and Taylor McKinnon each had a goal, with the later coming on a penalty stroke. Ava Naar and Ashleigh Leone each added an assist. Abbigail Cook (one save) and Molly Tharrington combined on the shutout.
Bishop Guertin 4, Manchester Central-West 0
Chloe Gilroy made 26 saves but it wasn’t enough as Central-West fell to the Cardinals.
Nancy Apollo and Armani Holmes played well for MCW (0-4).
ConVal 3, Milford 2 (OT – Tuesday)
Willa Audley and Mairead Kirby had goals for the Spartans (0-3) but the Cougars (1-3) prevailed in overtime.
Nadia Dutton had an assist for Milford while Violet Renda (11 saves) and Chloe Marchand (two saves) split time in goal.
Girls Volleyball
Bedford 3, Hollis Brookline 1
The Cavaliers took the first game, but dropped the next three to the Bulldogs. Game scores were 24-26, 25-16, 25-8 and 25-15.
Annette Schlunk had seven kills, two aces and a block for HB (1-1) while Kate Berrigan had seven kills and three blocks. Maggie Noble also recorded seven kills for the Cavs.
Maia Schneider added 10 digs and Gwynn Thomas had 17 assists.
Inter-Lakes 3, Portsmouth Christian 0
The Eagles were swept at home by the Lakers. Game scores were 25-19, 25-20 and 25-8.
Heidi Geyer led PCA (0-2) with three kills and seven aces and Madelyn Hardy also had three kills. Kailey Holt had five aces and 10 digs.
Quinn Arico finished with 11 assists while Marion Spurr had eight digs and Kate Wesley had one block.
Boys Soccer
Souhegan 4, Milford 2 (Tuesday)
The Sabers scored three goals in the second half for a comeback win on the road against the Spartans.
Baxter Paulini scored twice after halftime while Ayden Sartorelli and Weston Hickman had a goal apiece. Ryan Fillion and Calvin Jaques each had two assists and Reid Kimball made two saves for Souhegan.
