NASHUA – Fitch Hennessey scored with about 16 seconds remaining Wednesday night to give the Keene High School boys basketball team a 55-54 win over Nashua North.
NASHUA – Fitch Hennessey scored with about 16 seconds remaining Wednesday night to give the Keene High School boys basketball team a 55-54 win over Nashua North.
Hennessey finished with a game-high 19 points, including three 3-pointers, as the Blackbirds (4-4) kept close to the Titans (4-4) all night before taking the lead with a 7-0 run to start the fourth quarter.
North came back to take a 54-53 lead with just under a minute to play on a basket by Parth Miglani, but the Titans senior was unable to connect on a layup with less than 10 seconds left and Keene grabbed the rebound.
Jamal Stanley also had 15 points for the Blackbirds and Javon Massiah had 14 points, 12 of which came from behind the 3-point line.
Jaden Pena led North with 17 points, going 5 for 5 from the free throw line, and as a team, the Titans were 10 for 10. Alize Roig Cortes added 11 points and Miglani finished in double figures with 10.
Girls Basketball
Pinkerton 84, Concord 48
The Astros continued to roll, getting a road win over the Crimson Tide.
Sydney Gerossie had 28 points, including eighth 3s, and nine assists while Elizabeth Lavoie had 29 points with five 3s and six assists. Kaylee Dupuis added 10 points and six rebounds.
Windham 58, Trinity 20
The Jaguars improved to 7-1 with a big win over the Pioneers.
Lilah Boucher led the way with 10 points while Meghan Husson had nine points and Kate Carboni had seven points to go with eight rebounds.
Sarah Guarnaccia added four points and 10 boards and Paige Carboni had three points and nine rebounds while Avery Steffanides had six points.
Girls Hockey
Kingswood 8, Manchester 4
Ryleigh McNelly scored twice for the Kings, but it wasn’t enough against the Knights.
Jamie Webster and Rylee Page added a goal apiece and Chloe Gilroy made 24 saves.
