Around the Granite State: Kennett boys lacrosse rallies for 3OT win over Trinity

Bryce Needham scored in the final minute of the third overtime to give the Kennett High School boys lacrosse team a 5-4 win Thursday over Trinity.

Noah Nason, Nolan Needham and Donny Torrey also had goals for the Eagles (1-1) while freshman goalie Bodhi Matturo came up big throughout the overtimes in the win.

Jack DeFreitas had two goals for the Pioneers (1-2) while Brysen Lubelczyc also had a goal.

Kennett trailed by two goals in the final five minutes of regulation, was able to survive being a mandown for two minutes, and then forced overtime in the final two minutes.

Lebanon 17, Campbell 7

Abe Pearson had five goals and two assists to lead the Raiders past the Cougars.

Evan Thibideau added four goals and three assists and Bentley Lang also had four goals to go with an assist for Lebanon, which led 8-3 at halftime. Gavin Gilson was 15 of 21 on faceoffs in the win.

Tyler Breton led Campbell (2-1) with six goals.

Oyster River-Newmarket 19, Spaulding 1

Blake Callander scored five goals, including the first of his varsity career, to help the Bobcats pick up a win over the Red Raiders.

Jeff Keyes added four goals and three assists and Demitrius Tsakiris had three goals and two assists for ORN (1-1). Jayden Smart added three goals and Alex Moody had two goals while Camden Ayotte and Silas Doane each scored their first varsity goals.

Girls Lacrosse

No. 7 Nashua South 10, Concord 2

Carly Benzekri had five goals and an assist for the Panthers in a road win over the Crimson Tide.

Briley Landsteiner added three goals and Isabelle Picanco scored twice for South (3-0). Lexi McGuire recorded four assists and Wylie Hart had one helper.

Emma Herlihy made two saves and Maddie Langer, Karina Santana, Nicole DeJesus, Nitzann Alkalay and Hailey Cote played well defensively.

No. 9 Winnacunnet 7, No. 4 Bishop Guertin 6 (OT)

Elle Emory scored the game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Warriors past the Cardinals.

Emory also had two assists and McKinley Fowler led Winnacunnet with three goals. Addy McErlain and Hannah Curtin each had a goal and an assist and Reese Gandt also had a goal.

Lola Dumont led Bishop Guertin with four goals and an assist.
