Around the Granite State: Londonderry boys lacrosse knocks off Windham (video)

LONDONDERRY – Trey Campbell had five goals to help the Londonderry High School boys lacrosse get a 12-5 win over Windham on Wednesday.

Brody Campbell added four goals and an assist for the Lancers (9-6, No. 8 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll), who won their fourth in a row and fifth in the last six games.

Griffin Cunningham, Mason Taylor and Owen Huard each had a goal for Londonderry and Dylan Mac-Davis had an assist. Broch St. Gelais had eight saves while Eli Bettencourt helped the Lancers win 14 of 19 faceoffs.

The Jaguars (8-7) got two goals from Josh Trudel while Sam Kramer and Cam Terry had a goal and an assist apiece. Evan Ardizzone also scored while Ethan Peluso had three groundballs and Jack Tanso made 16 saves.

No. 7 Derryfield 17, St. Thomas 6

Emerson Stover scored six goals and had two assists as the Cougars snapped the Saints’ eight-game win streak

Dom Cercone had four goals and five assists and Ryan Maxwell had a goal and six assists for Derryfield (12-2). Heath Mueller and Mitch Labee each added a pair of goals while Vittorio Masoni (one assist) and Jackson Hatfield each had a goal.

Hatfield was 19 of 21 on faceoffs and Awaab Mousa was 5 for 5, while Liam England made six saves and Ryder Proulx had three saves.

No. 5 Winnacunnet 14, Kingswood 4

The Warriors shut out the Knights in the second half to get their 12th win in a row.

Beckett Rath had four goals and two assists for Winnacunnt (12-1) while Alec Mitchell and Spencer Zigler had four goals apiece. Burke Spalding added a goal and an assist and Brian McCown also scored.

Nashua North 12, Manchester 7

Jared Gauthier scored five goals to help the Titans to a road win over Manchester.

Nick Wilkinson and Ricky McKenzie had two goals apiece for North (5-10) and Josh Parsons made 13 saves.

Merrimack 14, Salem 6

The Tomahawks got goals from eight players in a win over the Blue Devils.

Josh Khan (one assist) and Gabe Gorman led the way with three goals apiece for Merrimack (9-5) while Cayden Dine (one assist) and Sean Anderson each had two goals.

Shea Scott had a goal and two assists and Austin Kovaliv had two assists. Gavin Hickey and Trevor Shorette each had a goal, as did Connor Marshall, which was his first varsity score.

Liam Newman chipped in an assist while Mason Tremblay had 14 saves and Seamus Hickey made one. Shea Buccellato played well defensively.

Bishop Brady 11, John Stark 3

The Giants got the win thanks a great defensive effort that kept the Generals scoreless in the second half.

Joey Richardson had five goals to lead Bishop Brady (7-5) while Ryan Haught had two goals and four assists. Jonah VanderHooven had a goal and an assist and Keaton Smith scored his first career goal.

ConVal 12, Milford 1

Rocco Bartling finished with nine saves as the Spartans fell to the Cougars.

Bentley Bowers had the lone goal for Milford (3-11) while Josh Clark had an assist.

Girls Lacrosse

John Stark 14, Pelham 10

Rowin Ledy came up with 20 saves to help the Generals get a win over the Pythons.

Claudia Dustin had two goals and six assists and Zoe Lawson scored four times for John Stark (8-3) while Addie DeCew had three goals and an assist.

Hannah Perkins also had three goals and Addy Brunini had two goals and an assist.

No. 7 Londonderry 16, Windham 10

Eres Delorey and Annabelle Melia had four goals apiece to lead the Lancers to a road win over the Jaguars.

Delorey also had two assists and five draw controls while Molly Connors had three goals, one assist and two draw controls for Londonderry (8-5). Addie Doyle added two goals, two assists and two draw controls and Summer Butler had two goals, one assist and two draw controls.

Cora Rogers chipped in with a goal and Abby Cook finished with seven saves.

No. 2 Souhegan 17, Andover (Mass.) 4

Libby Kennedy had five goals for the Sabers as they got an out-of-state win over the Golden Warriors.

Izzy Stevenson added three goals and five assists while Averie Curran had three goals and Lanai Hickman had two goals and an assist for Souhegan (11-1).

Emmie Curran and Meredith Heimark had a goal apiece while Abbey Gray recorded an assist.

Kearsarge 14, Belmont 4

Addy Rossi had four goals to lead the Cougars to the win over the Red Raiders.

Bella Valle, Siena Loomis and Katie Walkinshaw each added two goals for Kearsarge (4-7).

Brooke Varnum and Madi McClennan had two goals apiece for Belmont (2-9) and Shelby Mason recorded 19 saves.

No. 4 Exeter 16, No. 10 Nashua South 6

Riley Benevides had five goals to lead the Blue Hawks to a win over the Panthers.

Josie Drunsic added three goals and an assist and Racquel Battle had two goals and two assists for Exeter (11-6). Claire Wilhelm also had three goals and Phoebe Christenson had two goals and an assist.

Kelsey Hayward chipped in with a goal and Molly Byrne finished with five saves in the win.

South (9-6) got five goals from Carly Benzekri while Lexi McGuire also scored. Emma Herlihy finished with five saves while Maddie Langer and Nitzann Alkalay played well defensively.

St. Thomas 21, Lebanon 6

The Saints took down the Raiders to win their ninth in a row.

Talula Gregg had six goals for St. Thomas (12-2) and Lizzy Holden scored five times. Charlotte De Tolla and Julia Bryan had three goals apiece and Annita Parmelee scored twice.

Lucy Broom and Kate Kreycik each had a goal while Reese Foss made six saves and Cara Forest and Lena Shaheen played well defensively.

Boys Volleyball

Coe-Brown 3, Hollis Brookline 0

The Cavaliers came up short on the road against the Bears. Game scores were 25-17, 25-9 and 25-12.

Jack Barnes and Cal Carlson played well at the net for HB while Zac Wu had 15 assists. Danigan Koenig and Liam Gagne were solid defensively for the Cavs.
