Around the Granite State: Londonderry girls basketball returns to D1 final four
Here are results from Thursday night’s playoff action.
Sammy Sullivan scored 23 points to help lead the No. 2 Londonderry High School girls basketball team to a 55-41 win over No. 7 Salem in the Division I quarterfinals.
Sullivan had two 3-pointers and Brooke Eacrett added 13 points for the Lancers (19-1), who move on to the semifinals for the second year in a row and fourth time in the last six seasons.
Gemma Murray also had eight points and Mia Giampa chipped in with six points.
Salem (13-7) got 16 points from Lindsay Goetz and Lilly George had nine points on three 3-pointers.
The Lancers will face No. 3 Windham, which beat No. 6 Pinkerton 44-41 in the quarterfinals, at 6 p.m. Monday at Exeter High School.
No. 4 Concord Christian 48, No. 5 Bishop Guertin 33
Emma Smith scored 18 points as the Kingsmen advanced to the D1 semifinals with a win over the Cardinals.
Lilli Carlile added 17 points for CCA (15-4), which lost to Bishop Guertin (14-5) by two points in the season opener.
The Cardinals got nine points from Thalia Drapeau.
CCA will face No. 1 Bedford, which beat No. 9 Exeeter 85-39 in the quarterfinals, at 8 p.m. Monday at Exeter High School.
