Around the Granite State: Londonderry girls lacrosse gets win over Nashua North
Here are results from Thursday’s high school lacrosse action.
NASHUA – Ashleigh Leone had five goals and four assists to lead the Londonderry High School girls lacrosse team to a 16-4 win Thursday over Nashua North.
Cora Rogers, Kiara Edmunds, Lexi Padykula and Madison Wholley added two goals apiece for the Lancers (5-6) while Lilah Melia had a goal and an assist. Annabelle Melia and Summer Butler also had a goal each and Emily Oullette had an assist.
Jayden Sherwood had four saves and Abby Cook had five for Londonderry.
North got (1-11) two goals each from Molly Ducharme and Summer St. Pierre.
Oyster River-Newmarket 16, Pembroke 2
The Bobcats got four goals apiece from Keira Ferris and Lindsey Morin in a win over the Spartans.
Grace Royal added three goals and an assist in the win while Hannah Main scored twice. Mia Weglarz had a goal and an assist and Lexi Gill and Shay Butler also scored a goal apiece.
Eliza Farwell and Sydney Haines each had a save as they split time in goal for ORN (7-3).
No. 4 Souhegan 18, Merrimack 3
The Sabers got goals from six players as they rolled to a win over the Tomahawks.
Libby Kennedy (one assist) and Abby Giannetti each had for goals while Emma Kennedy and Izzy Stevenson each had three goals and an assist. Lyla Kimball also scored three times and Lanai Hickman had a goal and an assist.
Natalie Heimarck and Lyla Hawkes had an assist apiece while Maddie Lim, Ava Grace, Sophie Jacobs, Marley Bacon, Allison Jordan and Eva Stiles also played well. Catie Schriever finished with four saves while Emma Crisman had two for Souhegan (9-3).
No. 5 Pinkerton 19, Dover 6
Hailey Schnider (one assist) and Bella Pinardi each had five goals to lead the Astros past the Green Wave.
Piper Knowlton also scored four times and Hannah Lisauskas added a goal and three assists. Delaney Summers had a goal and an assist while Frannie Doyle, Elise Collins and Ash Ledoux had a goal apiece for Pinkerton (10-3).
Sara DiClemente had two saves and Paige Fenner finished with three.
St. Thomas 16, Concord Christian 1
Lizzy Holden had a season-high four goals to lead the Saints to the win over the Kingsmen.
Megan Leahy and Charlotte De Tolla added three goals apiece and Kat Dornan and Lucy Broom also each had a goal. Reece Anderson and Kensley Harris chipped in with two assists each.
Brea Barker made two saves in goal while Ava Lyder and Maddie McMahon led the defense and Juliana Grella was solid on draw controls for St. Thomas (8-0).
No. 8 Hollis Brookline 17, Keene-Monadnock 5
Cailean Roy had five goals, including the 100th of her career, to help the Cavaliers to the win over the Blackbirds.
Sabrina Hill had six goals and two assists for HB (8-3) while Samantha Smith had a goal and three assists and McKenna Maguire had two goals and an assist. Blake Curley, Teagan Arbogast and Juliette Ogren had a goal apiece and Elise Broadhurst had an assist.
Addison Dougherty finished with seven saves.
Kingswood 14, Spaulding 5
Molli Gould scored four goals for the Red Raiders, but they fell to the Knights.
Aivah Helton also had a goal for Spaulding, which scored all of its goals in the second half. Izzy Orrell made 15 saves.
Boys Lacrosse
No. 3 Portsmouth 10, No. 5 Derryfield 9
The Clippers (12-0) remained undefeated, holding off the Cougars (10-2) in a rematch of the last two Division II championship games.
Zac Amend led Portsmouth with three goals and an assist and Nick Smith (one assist), Lucas Patten and Masi Shone added two goals apiece. Reilly Collins also had a goal and Andrew Lawton chipped in with an assist while Kai Paterson finished with 12 saves.
Derryfield got two goals apiece from Chili Cabot (one assist), Ryan Maxwell and Cooper Ketcham. John Kramer and Max Fowler had a goal and an assist apiece while Dom Cercone also scored and Parker Lebiedz finished with 19 saves.
Londonderry 16, Nashua North 5
The Titans got three goals from Alec Jenkerson, but it wasn’t enough against the Lancers.
Dylan Noble also scored twice for North while Jace Colon (six saves) and Josh Parsons (eight saves) split time in goal.
Concord 10, Salem 3
Carter Doherty had five goals and an assist to lead the Crimson Tide past the Blue Devils.
Jaden Haas added two goals and was 10 of 12 on faceoffs while Will Chorlian also scored twice and had an assist. Tyler Morin added a goal and two assists and Liam Yeatman had four assists.
Brayden Beauregard chipped in with an assist and Logan Shimer finished with 14 saves.
Laconia 11, Hopkinton 7
The Sachems picked up a big win over the Hawks behind four goals and an assist from Sam Mize.
Carson Tucker added two goals and two assists and Brody Rollins dished out four helpers for Laconia. Eli Nadeau and Brady Stevens had two goals apiece while JP Harriman had a goal and an assist.
Stephen Mingo-Timmins played well in goal while Caden Tucker, Alex Richardson, Landen Brothers and Chris Amato were solid defensively.
