Around the Granite State: Londonderry girls lacrosse gets win over Nashua South

NASHUA – The Londonderry High School girls lacrosse team got goals from seven players Monday in a 15-5 win over Nashua South.

Summer Butler had two goals, three assists and two draw controls for the Lancers (7-5, No. 7 in the New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) while Addie Doyle had a goal and three assists.

Cora Rogers and Lexi Padykula (four draw controls) added three goals apiece while Molly Connors had two goals and an assist. Eres Delorey had two goals and three draw controls and Lily Ciarametaro scored a goal while Abby Cook made three saves.

South (9-5, No. 10) got four goals from Carly Benzekri and Gemma Williams also scored. Emma Herlihy recorded four saves for the Panthers.

No. 2 Souhegan 17, Windham 3

The Sabers won their eighth game in a row by beating the Jaguars.

Libby Kennedy scored six goals and had two assists while Izzy Stevenson had five goals and two assists for Souhegan (10-1). Emmie Curray and Abbey Gray had two goals apiece while Lanai Hickman had a goal and three assists and Averie Curran added a goal and an assist.

No. 3 Pinkerton 19, Concord 0

Francesca Doyle had four goals as the Astros beat the Crimson Tide for their sixth straight win.

Rylee Robinson and Melyana Marra had three goals apice and Sookie Folsom had two goals and three assists for Pinkerton (10-4). Lea Michelinie and Ashley Morrison had two goals and an assist each while Cora Udina had two goals and Ashley Clouthier also scored.

Paige Fenner recorded six saves in goal and Adda Judge had one save.

No. 6 Winnacunnet 18, Hollis Brookline 3

McKinley Fowler and Elle Emery both reach the 200-point milestone while helping the Warriors past the Cavaliers.

Fowler had five goals and an assist and Emery had a goal and three assists for Winnacunnet (10-2) while Ari Rizzon and Addy McErlain each added three goals.

Emily Arlington had two goals and two assists and Reese Gandt had two goals while Annika Jacques and Casey Kropp had a goal apiece.

Goffstown 19, Manchester Memorial 1

Mia Brisette had five goals and an assist to lead the Grizzlies to a win over the Crusaders.

Trinity Lunn added three goals and two assists while Sydney Lavoie and Ella Colettie had two goals and three assists apiece for Goffstown (8-3). Paige Winters had a goal and three assists and Stella Enman also had a goal with two assists.

Khloe Veary, MaeveHammond, Addie Crossman and Lejla Hodzic had a goal apiece while Thea Soucy had an assist and a caused turnover and Gabby Millas also had a helper.

Kearsarge 11, Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 9

The Cougars went on the road to get a close win over the Lakers.

Addy Rossi had six goals and Katie Walkinshaw had two goals for Kearsarge (3-7), which had seven assists as a team. Stella Syvertsen finished with 12 saves.

Makayla Peterson led IMLA (3-8) with five goals while Kate Taylor scored twice and Lilly Sousa and Aubrey Bresse had a goal apiece. Audrey Gumpert made seven saves while Alyssa Snow and Bella Kimball team with Taylor, Peterson and Sousa to do well on the draw.

St. Thomas 19, Concord Christian 7

Talula Gregg had seven goals to lead the Saints past the Kingsmen.

Lizzy Holden added four scores while Charlotte Kelley and Annita Parmelee had two goals apiece for St. Thomas (11-2). Charlotte De Tolla, Julia Bryan, Addy Allen and Kate Kreycik each recorded a goal.

Izzy Taylor and Cara Forest played well and Reese Foss made three saves.

No. 4 Exeter 18, Manchester Central-West 3

Riley Benevides scored her 100th career goal as the Blue Hawks knocked off Central-West.

Phoebe Christenson led Exeter (10-6) with three goals and an assist while Marissa Latini had three scores and Racquel Battle had two goals and two assists. Lizzie DeLello, Josephine Vadala and Molly Byrne had two goals apiece.

Benevides, Kaya Cargill, Izzy Vadala and Brooke Battle each added a goal, Grace McIlroy got her 100th draw control, and Bryne (one saves) and Maggie Lilly (two saves) played well in goal.

No. 9 Timberlane 17, Keene-Monadnock 6

Lila Fitzgerald had six goals and two draw controls to lead the Owls past the Blackbirds.

Rylee Donahue had three goals, one assist, two groundballs and seven draw controls, including the 100th of her career, while Julia Johnson had three goals and four groundballs for Timberlane (10-1).

Ava Paul had two goals and two assists and Aubrey Fitzgerald had a goal and two assists. Mia Morrier and Hannah Ahern had a goal apiece and Grace Gerhard had an assist.

Alexa Ring had three draw controls while Kasey Fitzgerald had two groundballs and Elle Sarcione had a groundball and Kayla Apitz recorded six saves.

Hopkinton 21, Belmont 1

Daylan Henry had the lone goal for the Red Raiders in a loss to the Hawks while Mia Kenison, Kira Perry and Shelby Mason also played well for Belmont.

Trinity 11, Pembroke 6

Addison Moynihan had six goals and an assist, including the 300th goal of her high school career, as the Pioneers got the win over the Spartans.

Sammy Raymond had two goals and an assist while Lily Ferdinand had a goal and an assist for Trinity (9-3). Mia Wheeler and Sadie Mungere also had a goal apiece and Sarah Bouchard chipped in with an assist.

Boys Lacrosse

No. 8 Londonderry 13, Nashua South 6

The faceoff team of Eli Bettencourt, Griffin Cunningham and Austin Callahan made the difference for the Lancers, as they beat the Panthers.

Bettencourt won 15 faceoffs, Cunningham had two goals and four groundballs and Callahan had a goal, two assists, six groundballs and four caused turnovers for Londonderry (8-6).

Brody Campbell had four goals and an assist and Hayden West had two goals and an assist. Owen Huard and Trey Campbell had a goal and two assists apiece while JJ Degeorge and Mason Taylor each added a goal.

Broch St. Gelais made eight saves while Wynn Shovlin had seven groundballs and Aidan Marshall also played well defensively for the Lancers.

Milford 18, Stevens 3

Dylan MacLeod and Bentley Bowers (one assist) each had four goals to lead the Spartans past the Cardinals.

Baeden Orlen, Aiden Hartley and Chris Bozza had two goals apiece for Milford (3-9) while Jamie Noble, Stepan Abair, Tiegan Barb and Josh Clark each added a goal.

Rocco Bartling and Brennan Cassidy split time in goal, with each making six saves.

No. 6 Portsmouth 16, Timberlane 10

Gus Baker scored four goals and had an assist to help the Clippers get the win over the Owls.

Nash Conklin added three goals and an assist while Sam Biddle had two goals and three assists and was 20 of 30 on faceoffs for Portsmouth (11-3). Trevor Sifferlen had two goals and two assists while Cortland Barr (one assist) and Max Deneen also had two goals apiece.

Thayer Parkington also scored a goal and AJ Craig made six saves for the Clippers.

Landon Petry led Timberlane (4-6) with five goals and Rocce Psareas had three goals and three assists. Gio Recesso and Dylan Lindblad had a goal apiece and Ryan Bazidane made eight saves.

No. 3 Bedford 13, Merrimack 1

Brody Helton had four goals and an assist for the Bulldogs as they beat the Tomahawks.

Savo Ftorek added three goals and Bennett Matthews had two goals and two assists for Bedford (12-3). Cobe Rubin had two goals and an assist and Dax Bekar also scored twice while Bryce D’Urso had an assist.

Ethan Conn made nine saves and Dylan Riccio won 16 of 17 faceoffs.

Shea Scott had the lone goal for Merrimack (8-5) while Mason Tremblay made 20 saves and Trevor Shorette played well defensively.

No. 5 Winnacunnet 19, Hollis Brookline 1

Alec Mitchell and Spencer Zigler each had four goals and an assist to lead the Warriors past the Cavaliers.

Beckett Rath added three goals and Brian McCown had a goal and two assists for Winnacunnet (11-1), while Junior Paschal had two gaols and Burke Spalding had a goal and an assist.

Sully Duffy had a goal and Mason Ayala scored his first career goal while Hale Dodier and Bubba Bramhall each had an assist. Joel Williams played well in goal and Paschal and Evan Stamper led the defense while Mitchell and Chris Choquette combined to go 20 for 22 on faceoffs.

No. 9 Dover 19, Manchester 3

Cooper Ketcham had six goals to help the Green Wave get past the Kings.

Parker Ketcham added five goals and two assists while Geffin Adorian had two goals and two assists and Porter Gray had a goal and three assists for Dover (9-5).

Logan Carter had a goal and two assists and Sylas Brown scored twice while Danny Toland had a goal and assist and Finn Joyce also scored.

No. 7 Derryfield 17, Hanover 6

Emerson Stover had six goals and two assists, including the 100th point of his career, as the Cougars rolled past the Bears.

Ryan Maxwell scored twice and had four assists while Vittorio Masoni had two goals and Heath Mueller had a goal and an assist for Derryfield (11-2). Garrett Lande had two assists while Jackson Hatfield had a goal and Mitch Labbe and Henry Fleit had an assist apiece.

Hatfield was 11 of 13 on faceoffs and Awaab Mousa was 7 of 11 while Liam England made 10 saves.

Hanover (4-5) got two goals and an assist from Sam Bagatell had two goals and an assist and EJ Frechette scored twice. Zach McCarthy and Mike Anderson each had a goal while Hooper Kelly had two assists and Jack Meyers had one helper.

Ben Parker had 13 saves for the Bears.

No. 1 Pinkerton 14, Concord 6

The Astros started slow and trailed the Crimson Tide 5-1 at halftime before coming back for the win.

Levi Weaver scored eight goals and Matt Gormady had two goals and three assists for Pinkerton (13-2).

Dylan Stingel and Tyler Pinardi were strong on faceoffs while Brendan Carney had four groundballs and two caused turnovers and Brady Blaszka had three groundballs.

Windham 17, Keene-Monadnock 9

Sam Kramer had five goals and two assists to lead the Jaguars to a win over the Blackbirds.

Evan Aridzzone had three goals and an assist and Josh Trudel also scored three times for Windham (8-6). Cameron Terry had two goals and Evan DellOrfano and Ethan Peluso had a goal and an assist apiece.

Tyler DellOrfano had two assists and Jack Tanso made 13 saves while Peluso had 15 groundballs, including the 300th of his career.

Plymouth 7, Bishop Brady 6 (3OT)

Joey Richardson had five goals to lead the Giants but they came up just short against the Bobcats.

Ray Weatherbee finished with 20 saves for Bishop Brady (5-5).

Souhegan 16, Spaulding 4

The Sabers snapped a six-game losing streak with a home win over the Red Raiders.

Mason Mobley and Nate Hill each had three goals and an assist for Souhegan (3-8) while Colin Yeaton had two goals and two assists. Judd Harris also had two goals and Micha Dibble had a goal and an assist while Sean Reardon had four saves.

Spaulding (2-10) got a goal apiece from Mex Deena, Rowen Hughes, Jason Moore and Caleb Healey.

Gilford 10, Trinity 9

Christien Nunez had four goals to lead the Golden Eagles past the Pioneers.

Lucas Raleigh added three goals and two assists while Jack Fountaine had two goals and two assists for Gilford. Kael Weber chipped in with a goal, five groundballs and three caused turnovers.
