Around the Granite State: Manchester boys lacrosse keeps rolling with win over Nashua North
Here are results from Friday’s high school lacrosse action.
NASHUA – Declan Wotton scored seven goals and the Manchester boys lacrosse team picked up its second win in a row Friday, beating Nashua North 15-8 at Stellos Stadium.
Brandon Weaver and Cade Tripp added two goals apiece for the Kings (3-11) while Kamden Jackson, Brady Harrison, Collin Beaulieu and Jackson Ulbin-Morin each scored a goal.
Cam Roberge made 18 saves for Manchester while Alex Sutherland, Kyle Pelletier, Lucas Brown and Trevor Wong played well defensively.
North (1-15) got five goals from Dylan Noble and two more from Nick Wilkinson while Josh Parsons made 23 saves.
Bow 9, Plymouth 5
The Falcons picked up a win over the Bobcats, with Wyatt Premo scoring four goals for Bow (11-1).
Sam Bennett added a goal and three assists and Cam Czarnosz had two scores. Parker Kazanowski and Eli Ayers also had a goal apiece. Niko Mallios finished with two assists and Jake Antuna had one helper.
Brad Ekstrom came up big, making eight saves in goal.
No. 5 Derryfield 10, Nashua South 2
Brady Doldo had three goals and an assist for the Cougars, as they picked up a win over the Panthers.
Ryan Maxwell had a goal and three assists and Heath Mueller had two goals while RJ Proulx had a goal and two assists for Derryfield (15-0, No. 5 in the MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Coaches Poll). Emerson Stover and Logan Dyer had a goal and an assist apiece and Garrett Lande also scored.
Liam England made nine saves and Jackson Hatfield and Dylan Clyne won 14 of 16 faceoffs.
Brendan Shelly and Cody Jackson had a goal apiece for South (7-9) and Jake Lynn made 11 saves.
No. 10 Timberlane 14, Merrimack Valley 8
Landon Petry had four goals and three assists for the Owls as they got a win over the Pride.
Gio Recesso added four goals and Rocco Psareas had two goals and an assist for Timberlane (11-3). Gavin Dubois also scored twice and Cam Bonfiglio and Spencer Munson had a goal apiece.
Joseph Hughes made 14 saves, as the senior surpassed two hundred saves for the season.
Campbell 7, Bishop Brady 3
Joey Richardson, Cam Fortier and Alex King each had a goal for the Giants, but it wasn’t enough against the Cougars.
No. 7 Winnacunnet 15, Souhegan 4
Becket Rath scored five times as the Warriors rolled to a win over the Sabers.
Alec Mitchell had two goals and two assists and won all of the faceoffs he took. Brian McCown had two goals and an assist while Burke Spalding scored twice, as did Logan Brown, who had his first two varsity goals.
Spencer Ziegler added a goal and an assist while Braden Nowak scored. Liam McNally had two assists and Michael Bramhill had one.
No. 1 Bishop Guertin 16, Dover 10
Danny Bretz made 15 saves, but it wasn’t enough for the Green Wave in a loss to the Cardinals.
Tobey Desroches led Dover with four goals and Cooper Ketcham had two goals and two assists. Logan Carter added two goals and an assist while Ben Tower also scored twice.
Parker Ketcham added two assists and Braedon Perry had one helper.
Girls Lacrosse
No. 5 Winnacunnet 15, Londonderry 13
McKinley Fowler scored six goals, including the 100th of her high school career, as the Warriors picked up a road win over the Lancers.
Sky Mace added five goals and three assists and Elle Emery had three goals and two assists for Winnacunnet (13-1), which won its 12th in a row.
Reese Gandt added a goal and Annika Jacques had an assist. Madison Brunelle finished with 10 saves.
No. 10 St. Thomas 19, Milford 0
Charlotte De Tolla and Lizzy Holden had three goals apiece to lead the Saints past the Spartans.
Izzy Taylor added two goals while Corinne Connelly, Reece Anderson, Julia Bryan, Ava Goodwin, Payton Baker, Lucy Broom, Ava Lyder, Maia Scanlon, Lena Shaheen, Cara Forest and Reese Foss had a goal apiece.
Chloe Baker made seven saves for the Saints.
No. 9 Merrimack 18, Spaulding 2
Riley Taylor had six goals, an assist and eight draw controls to lead the Tomahawks to a home win over the Red Raiders.
Payton Trepaney and Ava Martin each added three goals, with Martin also getting four draw controls. Ava Woods scored twice and Jackie Hayes had a goal, two assists and three draw controls.
Lexi Bell (two draw controls) and Lily Palmer had a goal and an assist apiece while Lyla Carls also scored. Liv Mitchell and Syd Capen each had an assist and Sophia Richard made two saves.
Rachel Baughman had a goal and an assist and Sarah Lin scored a goal for Spaulding. Izzy Orrell had 13 saves.
No. 6 Souhegan 19, Concord 5
Izzy Stevenson had six goals and three assists to go with three groundballs and six draw controls to help lead the Sabers past the Crimson Tide.
Libby Kennedy (five draw controls) and Lanai Hickman (two groundballs) added four goals and an assist apiece and Abby Giannetti also had four goals.
Averie Curran had a goal and an assist and five groundballs, while Emmie Curran had an assist and four groundballs. Emilia Koch also had an assist and Emma Crisman made one saves.
Natalie Heimarck, Haley Christianson, Madison Behn, Gabby Cool and Natalie Bryan all played well for Souhegan (9-3).
Hollis Brookline 20, Alvirne 0
Fiona Duggan made 12 saves in the loss for the Broncos.
Coe-Brown 23, Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough 6
Avery Keefe had seven goals and an assist to lead the Bears to a win over the Lakers.
Addison Roy, Ady Moynihan and Rose Bean each scored three goals awhile Maddy McGrath scored her first varsity goal. Morgan Readel, Brooke Kozlowski, Ellie Escabi, Alexis Thomas, Natalie George and Kendall Jackson had a goal apiece for Coe-Brown (7-5).
Kozlowski and Kenzie Silva had four caused turnovers apiece and Abby Readel had two.
Brooke Taylor, Bella Kimball and Emily MacLean had goals for Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough.
