Around the Granite State: Mascoma Valley field hockey beats Newfound
Here are results from Saturday’s high school field hockey action.
Makenna Houston scored twice and the Mascoma Valley Regional High School field hockey team beat Newfound 3-0 on Saturday.
Sophia Smith added an insurance goal off an assist from Houston for the Royals (3-1), who took a little while to get going against the Bears.
Ellie McGrody and Aubrey Elizabeth also played well for Mascoma Valley in the win.

Berlin 2, Kennett 0
The Mountaineers got a goal and an assist from Marlee Wedge to knock off the Eagles.
Olivia Richard also had a goal for Berlin (5-1) and Caitlin Kelley added an assist. McKenna Kelley finished with three saves in the win.
