Around the Granite State: Merrimack boys lacrosse gets OT win against Salem
Here are results from Thursday’s high school lacrosse action.
Henry Tobin scored in overtime Thursday off a feed from Conor Dunn to give the Merrimack High School boys lacrosse team a 7-6 win against Salem.
Dunn led the Tomahawks (8-6) with three goals and an assist and Tobin had two assists to go with his game-winning goal. Max Giles added two goals and Nathaniel Bergen had a goal and an assist.
Cayden Dine, Sean Anderson and Hudson Rousseau each had an assist for Merrimack while Mason Tremblay finished with 10 saves and Colby Smith played well defensively.
Hollis Brookline 8, Hanover 7
Mike O’Hearn had three goals and an assist to help the Cavaliers get a road win over the Bears.
Ben Dufoe added two goals and two assists for HB while JP Torgersen had two goals and Bennett Torgersen also scored. Colin Magnuszewski added an assist and Bryson Giersch did well on faceoffs.
Luke Kinney was solid in goal for the Cavs and Patrick Masoni played well defensively.
No. 5 Derryfield 16, Keene-Monadnock 4
Ryan Maxwell had six goals and an assist to lead the Cougars past the Blackbirds.
Dom Cercone recorded four goals and three assists and Chili Cabot scored twice and had four assists. John Kramer also had two goals and an assist and Cooper Ketcham had a goal and two assists.
Max Fowler also scored scored and Caleb May had an assist while Jackson Hatfield (9 of 18) and Dylan Clyne (4 of 5) handled faceoffs. Parker Lebiedz finished with five saves.
Laconia 14, Milford 2
The Sachems got goals from eight players as they rolled past the Spartans on senior night.
Sam Mize led the way with four goals while JP Harriman had two goals and three assists and Carson Tucker and Brody Rollins added two goals and two assists apiece.
Brady Stevens, Eli Nadeau, Chris Amato and Cameron Lacroix also had a goal apiece.
Tyler Descoteaux scored twice for Milford while Brennan Cassidy finished with 13 saves and Tyler Ireland played well defensively.
Girls Lacrosse
Coe-Brown 17, Kearsarge 5
The Bears pulled away in the second half for their sixth win of the season, setting a program record.
Brooke Kozlowski had four goals and Kendall Jackson added three for Coe-Brown (6-5) while Avery Keefe had four assists. Goalie Alexis Muse recorded her 100th save of the season.
Pembroke 14, Spaulding 10
Bailey Gatchell had three goals to lead the Spartans past the Red Raiders.
Sarah Keeler, Kendall Purtell and Laila Al-Shawafi added two goals apiece for Pembroke while Zoey Mayeu, Ashlie Klawes, Lily Ricci, Kayla Amyot and Treic Thomas Guerzon each had a goal.
Spaulding got 20 saves from Izzy Orrell while Rachel Baughman finished with six goals. Armani Ragas scored twice while Molli Gould and Kate McCawley had a goal apiece.
