Around the Granite State: Merrimack Valley boys basketball starts fast in win
Here are results from Wednesday night’s high school sports action.
The Merrimack Valley High School boys basketball team jumped out to a big lead in the first quarter Wednesday and rolled to a 69-37 win over Bishop Brady.
The Pride led 30-5 after one and got 19 points apiece from Brady Smith and Boston Bradicich. Nic Oglesby had 10 points and seven rebounds for Merrimack Valley.
Ryan Casey had 17 points to lead the Giants.
Girls Basketball
Windham 55, Exeter 48
The Blue Hawks got 15 points and six steals from Anna McGuinness, but it wasn’t enough in a loss to the Jaguars.
Nicole Melick added 11 points and Jess Melick had nine points and 10 rebounds for Exeter.
