Around the Granite State: Monadnock field hockey ends regular season with win

The Monadnock Regional High School field hockey team ended the regular season with a 4-0 win over Newport and likely clinched its first postseason berth since 2017.

Jillian Ellis and Jolene Boudette each had a pair of goals to lead the Huskies (5-9) while Charleigh Bohannon recorded a pair of assists.

Makayla Harwood had eight saves while Monadnock had 18 shots on goal and six penalty corners.

Official playoff pairings will be released on Monday, but the Huskies currently hold the No. 10 seed in Division III.

Hopkinton 7, Sanborn 0

Dahlia Perry scored two goals to help lead the Hawks to a win over the Indians in their final game of the regular season.

Auralia Salace, Autumn Meier, Carlie Leino, Lauren Vetter and Alyson Doffing also had a goal apiece for Hopkinton (13-1-1). Maddie Dwyer, Emma Pelletier and Heidi Archambault played well defensively in the win.

Hopkinton will likely be the No. 2 seed when the pairings are released.
