Around the Granite State: Monday’s Roundup
The Timberlane Regional High School girls volleyball team rallied from an early deficit, and after Nashua North forced a fifth game, the Owls came back again to beat the Titans 3-2 on Monday. Game scores were 15-25, 25-22, 26-24, 19-25 and 15-5.
Ellie Schott led the Owls (1-2) with 17 assists, 14 kills and six aces, while Sam Carrigan had 24 digs, six kills and five aces and Tori Boutin had 27 digs.
North (2-1) got a big night from Abby Coy, who had 11 digs, three aces and a kill, and Haley Stanton, who had four aces, five kills and two blocks.
Bishop Guertin 3, Keene 0
The Cardinals bounced back with a sweep of the Blackbirds, winning by scores of 25-7, 25-6 and 25-11.
Paola Matos had 13 aces and nine digs for Bishop Guertin (2-1) and Julia Pascucci added 12 assists, seven kills and three aces. Rita Dow recorded seven kills and three blocks while Alicia Glasheen had 14 assists.
Hollis Brookline 3, Merrimack 0
The Cavaliers knocked off the Tomahawks by scores of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-13.
Kaleigh Whalen had seven kills and an ace for HB (3-0) while Brodie Kelly had four kills and Natalie Cook added six aces. Sammie Sheppard finished eight digs and Angelina Leonard had seven assists.
