Around the Granite State: Nashua South boys basketball beats Londonderry in OT

LONDONDERRY – Josh Tripp scored with eight tenths of a second left in overtime as the Nashua High School South boys basketball team grabbed a 75-74 win Tuesday night over Londonderry.

Tripp, who finished with 14 points, was fouled on the make, but intentionally missed the free throw to try to keep the Lancers from setting up for a final shot. Matt Luongo grabbed the rebound cleanly and heaved the ball toward the other basket as the buzzer sounded; the shot hit the backboard, hit off the rim and fell to the ground.

South (5-2) got 25 points from Josh Caruso, including an 8 for 8 performance at the line, while Ayden Clough also had 14 points and Daniel Karavanic had 12 markers, going 7 of 7 at the line.
