Around the Granite State: Nashua South field hockey scores early to beat Portsmouth (video)
Here are results from Monday’s field hockey games.
NASHUA – Keegan Dolan had a goal and an assist Monday night to help lead the Nashua High School South field hockey team to a 2-0 win over Portsmouth.
Saige Devins also scored, giving the Panthers the lead just 1:05 into the game, and Sofia Forti had an assist, as South (1-3) picked up its first win.
Meury Navarette made four saves while Karina O’Donnell, Meenu Dwaraka, Wylie Hart, Ava Dergarabedian, Emme Christian and Emily Richard played well for the Panthers.
Reese McCauley finished with six saves for the Clippers (0-4).
No. 3 Keene 3, No. 6 Winnacunnet 0
The Blackbirds took the lead early and never looked back in a road win against the Warriors.
Scarlett Miller had two goals, including one just three minutes into the game, and CeCe Wailer also scored. Sofia Miller had an assist and Lilly Rowell made two saves for Keene (3-0).
Timberlane 3, Windham 2
The Owls picked up their third straight win and their first ever against the Jaguars.
Taylor Alperin had a goal and an assist while Keely Johnston and Brooke Salafia each scored. Aubrey Fitzgerald added an assist and Lilly Clark finished with 10 saves for Timberlane (3-1).
No. 5 Pinkerton 4, Goffstown 0
Jaelyn Crossman scored twice and the Astros improved to 3-0 with a win over the Grizzlies.
Gwen Lee and Avery Hamilton also scored a goal apiece and Caitlyn Lemay played well defensively for Pinkerton.
Salem 6, Nashua North 0
Lexi Whipple and Heather Lee O’Rourke each had a pair of goals to lead the Blue Devils to a win over the Titans.
Emily Young added a goal and two assists for Salem (2-2) while Nicole Ringdajl also scored and Maddie Beeley, Abby Beeley and Averie Bolduc each had an assist.
Londonderry 9, Manchester Memorial-Central 0
The Lancers got goals from eight players in a win over Manchester.
Ava Windisch had two goals and two assist to lead Londonderry (2-2), while Sienna Schulz, Alison Chambers, Jiselle Silvestro and Gemma Murray had a goal and an assist apiece.
Lexi Padykula, Ava Naar and Eres Delorey also scored for the Lancers while Molly Tharrington made three saves.
No. 10 John Stark 3, Bow 1
Caylin Worthen scored two goals and the Generals picked up a win over the Falcons.
Ava Friberg also had a goal and an assist and Jillian Fredette recorded two assists for John Stark (3-0). Ryann Telgen played well defensively in the win.
