NASHUA – The Nashua High School South girls lacrosse team scored five goals in under five minutes to open Tuesday’s game and the Panthers rolled to a 15-6 win over Derryfield at Stellos Stadium.

Maren Lowell led South (6-1 in D1, No. 7 in the MerchSquared.com/NHHSSports Coaches Poll) with five goals, two assists and five draw controls. Karina O’Donnell added three goals and an assist while Carly Benzekri also had three goals and an assist to go with nine draw controls.

Addie Bordan scored twice and Saige Devins had a goal and two assists while Wylie Hart also scored for the Panthers. Lilee Petricca finished four saves while Nevaeh Eppolito, Maddie Langer, Karina Santana, Lexi McGuire and Nitzann Alkalay played well defensively.

Derryfield (4-1 in D3) got two goals apiece from Finley Llewellyn and Maddy Paolino while Chloe Bremberg and Teagan Peabody each had a goal and an assist. Lily Kfoury finished with 11 saves for the  Cougars.

No. 1 Portsmouth 21, St. Thomas 7

The Clippers remained undefeated while handing the Saints their first loss of the year.

Charlotte De Tolla led St. Thomas (4-1 in D3) with four goals while Reece Anderson, Talula Gregg and Lizzy Holden added a goal apiece.

Kensley Harris made her first start in goal and had nine saves while Ava Lyder and Lena Shaheen both played well defensively.

Boys Lacrosse

No. 5 Derryfield 19, Souhegan 6

Emerson Stover had five goals and an assist to lead the Cougars to the win over the Sabers.

Ryan Maxwell scored three goals and had five assists while Dom Cercone and RJ Proulx each added three goals and an assist for Derryfield (6-0). Jackson Hatfield added two goals and won 7 of 8 faceoffs while Dylan Clyne (6 of 8), Awaab Mousa (5 of 6) and Isaac Kosakowski (2 of 5) also did well facing off.

Brady Doldo and Heath Mueller had a goal and an assist apiece while Garrett Lande had a goal and Clyne and Charlie Rousseau each had an assist. Jaxon DeYoung made 10 saves.

Souhegan (2-5) got three goals from Muse Cross-Swartzell while Brandon Silva had two goals and Chase Wilmot added one score. Sean Reardon finished with eight saves.
