Around the Granite State: Nashua South girls lacrosse gets win over Salem
Here are results from Tuesday’s high school lacrosse action.
The Nashua High School South girls lacrosse team got four goals and two assists from Maren Lowell in a 15-5 win Tuesday over Salem.
Saige Devins also had four goals for the Panthers (7-6, No. 10 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll) while Ella Benzekri had two goals and an assist and Morgan Uzdanovich a goal and three assists.
Karina O’Donnell and Maddie Matylewski had a goal and two assists apiece while Nevaeh Eppolitto and Wylie Hart added a goal each. Keira Walsh made eight saves while Audrey Mullaney, Abby Herlihy, Brynn Tefft and Karina Santana also played well.
No. 5 Pinkerton 13, Andover (Mass.) 12
Hailey Schnider had six goals and an assist to help lead the Astros (11-4) to a road win over the Golden Warriors.
Hannah Lisauskas added two goals and three assists for Pinkerton while Delaney Summer and Frannie Doyle had a goal and an assist each. Bella Pinardi, Piper Knowlton and Natalie Paradzick chipped in a goal apiece while Sara DiClemente made 12 saves.
Pembroke 10, Milford 3
Laila Al-Shawafi and Bailey Gatchell each had three goals as the Spartans from Pembroke got a win over the Spartans from Milford.
Kendall Purtell, Kayla Amyot, Zoey Mayeu and Kaden Lantz added a goal apiece for Pembroke while freshmen Lily Ricci and Lily Royer also played a solid game in the win.
Boys Lacrosse
No. 5 Derryfield 19, Hanover 5
Dom Cercone had four goals and two assist to help the Cougars pick up a win over the Bears.
Ryan Maxwell scored three goals and had two assists while John Kramer and Cooper Ketcham each had two goals and four assists. Chili Cabot added two goals and two assists and Garrett Lande also scored twice.
Max Fowler (one assist), Brady Doldo, Logan Dyer and Caleb May scored a goal apiece while Jackson Hatfield (13 of 13) and Dylan Clyne (7 of 10) combined to control faceoffs.
Parker Lebiedz (two saves), Liam England (one) and Jaxon DeYoung (one) combined on the win in goal.
Hanover got three goals from John Scherer while Schuyler Clapp and Michael Anderson had a goal apiece. Jack Wilkinson, Teddy Sumner and Sumner Finley each had an assist while Henry Cotter finished with 17 saves.
No. 3 Portsmouth 14, Kingswood 10
Zac Amend scored five goals and had two assists to help the Clippers improve to 14-0 with a win over the Knights.
Reilly Collins had three goals and an assist and Briggs Catino had two goals and two assists for Portsmouth. Sam Biddle also scored twice while Henry Purcell and Thijs Beelen each had a goal and Connor Williams had an assist.
Masi Shone and Andrew Tinerman played well defensively while Kai Paterson made 11 saves and AJ Craig had five.
Kingswood got three goals and two assists from Will Crane while Myles O’Keefe also scored three goals. Keegan Russo (one assist), Keller Peacock, Keegan Kilkelly and Healy Larson added a goal apiece.
