Around the Granite State: Nashua South girls lacrosse grabs win over Exeter

NASHUA – Karina O’Donnell had six goals and an assist Monday to help lead the Nashua High School South girls lacrosse team to a 15-8 win over Exeter.

The Panthers (9-7, No. 10 in the NHHSSports Coaches Poll) also got four goals and an assist from Ellan Benzekri. Morgan Uzdanovich added two goals and two assists and Maren Lowell had two goals and an assist while Maddie Matylewski also scored.

Keira Walsh finished with four saves while Audrey Mullaney, Abbey Benotti and Abby Herlihy also played well.

Exeter (9-7, No. 8) got three goals from Ellie Dean and two from Sophia Wilhem. Karli Scherpf had a goal and an assist while Izzy Steiner and Phoebe Christenson had a goal apiece.

No. 5 Souhegan 17, Dover 9

Libby Kennedy had four goals to help lead the Sabers past the Green Wave.

Natalie Heimarck added three goals while Lyla Kimball and Abby Giannetti each had two goals and two assists. Izzy Stevenson had two goals and an assist and Lanai Hickman also scored twice.

Emma Kennedy recorded a goal and an assist and Maddie Lim also scored. Catie Schriever had three saves and Emma Crisman one while Sophie Jacobs and Ava Grace also played well.

No. 4 Pinkerton 17, Nashua North 2

Ten players had at least a goal as the Astros rolled past the Titans in their final home game.

Hailey Schnider had three goals and an assist and Bella Pinardi also scored three times while Hannah Lisauskas had a goal and three assists. Ashlyn Ledoux added two goals and two assists and Emma Madsen (one assist) and Kylee Burns each scored twice.

Piper Knowlton had a goal and an assist while Frannie Doyle, Natalie Paradzick and Bella Petralia had a goal apiece and Delaney Summer added an assist. Sara DiClemente and Paige Fenner each had a save.

St. Thomas 18, Plymouth 2

Kensley Harris led the Saints with four goals as they picked up a win over the Bobcats.

Kat Dornan added three goals, giving her 100 points in her career, while Charlotte De Tolla, Lizzy Holden and Megan Leahy also had three goals apiece. Reece Anderson and Cat Vetter each had a goal.

Brea Barker finished with six saves while Grace Talbot and Juliana Grella played well defensively.

No. 6 Winnacunnet 13, No. 9 Hollis Brookline 5

The Cavaliers dropped their third in a row, falling on the road to the Warriors.

Cailean Roy had a goal and an assist for HB while Teagan Arbogast, Blake Curley, Juliette Ogren and Sabrina Hill had a goal apiece. Samantha Smith added an assist while Ogren had seven ground balls and Addison Dougherty made 20 saves.

Merrimack Valley 10, Oyster River-Newmarket 6

The Bobcats came up short at the Pride despite getting five goals from Grace Royal.

Hannah Dunbar also scored and Eliza Farwell finished with 10 saves.

Derryfield 18, Milford 0

The Cougars four goals and two assists apiece from Maddy Paolino and Alex Benson in a win over the Spartans.

Teagan Peabody also scored four times and had an assist while Courtney Wold had a goal and three assists and Lilly Handwerk had a goal and two helpers. Mia Chen, Bri Murray, Phoebe Handwerk and Ariel Berger also scored for Derryfield while Kelsi Bremberg had an assist.

Murray added six draw controls and Paolino had four while Lily Kfoury (one save) and Sadie Walsh (three) combined for the shutout.

Coe-Brown 22, Campbell 0

The Bears won their sixth in a row, beating the Cougars on the road.

Fae Johnson had six goals and two assists to lead Coe-Brown and Lily Peabody added four goals. Ellie Escabi also had three goals while goalie Alexis Muse led the defense to a shutout.

No. 7 Windham 12, Goffstown 10

The Jaguars picked up their second win of the season over the Grizzlies, getting five goals from Sophia Ponzini.

Darby Madden added three goals and an assist while Chloe Hall had two goals and three assists. Mia Gallinelli had a goal and two assists and Emma Kendzulak also scored for the Jaguars.

Goffstown got four goals apiece from Trinity Lunn and Eva deMatteis.

Boys Lacrosse

Milford 9, Stevens 6

The Spartans went on the road and picked up their first win of the season against the Cardinals.

Braydon Atwood led the way with six goals for Milford while Tyler Desciteaux added two goals and Simon MacFarlane also scored. Chris Quezada and Dylan MacLeod had an assist apiece.

Brennan Cassidy finished with 13 saves to get the win.

No. 2 Bedford 21, Merrimack 4

Sam Barad had nine goals and two assists to help lead the Bulldogs past the Tomahawks.

Derek Kulesza added five goals and two assists and Bennett Matthews had two goals and five assists for Bedford (14-1). Luke Purnell had a goal and three assists and JJ Gaffney and Dylan Soden had a goal and an assist.

Brody Helton and Joey Miller each had a goal while Parker Gupta, John Purnell and Alex Gabree each had an assist. Ian Fletcher and Ethan Conn each played well in goal.

Concord 10, Manchester 3

The Crimson Tide got four goals and five assists from Carter Doherty, giving the sophomore 150 points for his career, in a win over the Kings.

Will Chorlian added four goals and Brayden Beauregard had a goal and two assists for Concord (7-9). Liam Yeatman also scored and Tyler Morin had two assists.

Jaden Haas was 9 of 13 on faceoffs and Logan Shimer finished with seven saves.

No. 6 Pinkerton 18, Nashua North 1

Matt Gormady had six goals to help lead the Astros to a win over the Titans.

Cole Summers added two goals and four assists while Ben Quintiliani, Ricky Wong and Adam Scala had two goals and an assist apiece. Jeff Gormady also scored twice while Tyler Barry had a goal and an assist.

Ronan Conners also scored and Alec Henry and Jimmy Erickson each had an assist.

Owen Perkins (three saves) and Cody Dumont (four) combined for the win in goal while Dylan Stingel, Alex Tsetseranos and Aiden Jones teamed up to go 23 for 23 on faceoffs.

Bow 17, Trinity 2

The Falcons got the win over the Pioneers behind four goals and an assist from Gavin McCabe.

TJ Ingalls added three goals and two assists and Brad Ekstrom finished with 10 saves.
