Around the Granite State: Oyster River girls basketball gets playoff win over Hollis Brookline
Here are results from Wednesday’s playoff action.
Olivia Andersen scored 19 points to lead the No. 4 Oyster River High School girls basketball team to a 50-34 win Wednesday over No. 13 Hollis Brookline in the Division II preliminary round.
Wren Horne added 14 points for the Bobcats (15-4) and Vivian O’Quinn scored 13 points, as Oyster River avenged a season-opening loss to the Cavaliers (8-11).
Ashling Ferris and Caitlin Klein, who returned from a season-long injury, also scored for the Bobcats, who will host No. 5 Pembroke in the quarterfinals on Saturday.
Boys Basketball
D1 Prelims: No. 9 Windham 64, No. 8 Bishop Guertin 49
Jack Koutrobis scored a game-high 36 points to lead the Jaguars to a playoff win over the Cardinals.
Jack Murphy added 10 points for Windham (12-7) and Brandon Jacobs chipped in with nine points while Sam Roidoulis grabbed 15 rebounds.
Windham will go on the road to Bedford for the quarterfinals on Saturday.
